Treble

Anyone would want the ability to stop Magic effects. It's worth it's weight in Exodia pieces...right?

Pros

  • Negates all Magics
  • Can be destroyed by choice

Cons

  • Jinzo
  • Spiritualism
  • Secret Rare of an older set

  • Straight to it, then. Imperial Order is a Trap that negates Magic card effects. Even noobs who have nothing but starter decks know this. However, they seem to think that the Magic card is then destroyed. Here's the thing-it never says it destroys the Magic card, it just negates it. Of course, that doesn't really matter-most of the cards that you will want to toast are normal Magic cards that resolve normally anyway. On that note, you are still able to play Magic cards with Imperial Order on the field. They just won't work. Of course, it goes down hill from here. Jinzo made this, and all other Trap cards, risky to use. Another dangerous card is Spiritualism (which should have been named Anti-Order). Spiritualism can only be stopped by Prohibition. And, we just see loads of Prohibitions in tournament play. Imperial Order is also harder to get than most. I mean, Magic Jammer can be picked up as a common in a $12 deck! Imperial Order can cost up to 50 dollars! Plus, Jammer destroys the card, getting rid of Permanent Magic cards. This is one of those cards that really is quiet useful, and yet, easily toasted. A predicment. Yes.

Tournament Rating: 4/5 (It does negate Magic effects)
    Casual Rating: 5/5
Limited Rating: 4.5/5 (Good for a limited deck, plus good just for pulling it.)

For some reason it's a secret rare that quite alotta people seem to own. Not like Yata. Now anyway, first off, I STILL See people make this mistake. Imperial Order Stops ALL magics. Not jst your opponents.
Now I love this card. I have never seen a deck without any magic cards. In fact, this ruins exodia decks. It prettymuch stops the painfull choice combo in it's tracks. It can be used a one-time magic jammer and retireved form the graveyard later, or it can be kept on the field as longas you need it. But if you keep it, 700 lifepoints isn't that much, but make sure it won't hinder you more than your opponent (if you're running a Maha Vailo deck, per say)
All in all, this is a great card. I don't love the 700 points part of it, but it belongs in almost any deck.
