The future of interactivity.
I can tell you folks I have not seen a more exciting time in the media business ever before.
Quick reasoning here, the demand is SUPER SUPER SUPER high for (should I say it more times?)current digital interactivity, demand in instant recognition of where these companies are going and technology advanced content. I also feel it is key to present the content with the newest and best technology, to have them ready for this new change about to take place.
IATV is on the forefront of major publicity in this new arena of convergence, media, advertising, sports, interaction, change of personal tendencies, TV, cable, e-commerce and to top it off, social change.
Companies like Spyglass (SPYG) , Princeton Video (PVII), Actv, Inc. (IATV) , Questec.com Inc. (QSTI), to name a few are just about to enter a hyper-growth and social change forefront in what we may explain as a current alteration in personal preferences.
SOON we will be able to have sideshow devices, i.e.: links, preferences, gadgets, whatever you may call them at our fingertips. HINT, (AOL) (PAIR) are both hiring in my area for device engineers and programmers. The changes these new sources of information will play on our lives will be revolutionary to say the least! Car manufacturers are adding these devices as built in sideshows in our cars, deals are being made for interactive TV in ALL our airlines seating consoles... they will be all around us and those partnerships made early to benefit from all these new devices will be new and exciting... let alone revenue generating.
AOL buys TimeWarner for over 250 billion, if you ask me this is the technological revolution. I remember telling my professor one day that this would happen, it was in November of 1997 in my Microeconomics class. I said that I expected a change that would be just like the Industrial revolution within the technology sector. He looked at me like I was crazy... I think this market will continue higher for some time well into this decade and this new millenium.
For example after questioning Questec today re: their press release an important idea came to mind, the fact that most industries are just finding out about companies like Questec, Princeton, ACTV, Inc. Once these media companies and others (to many sectors to name) see this is reality and it's going to be added to everything we do in our future, we will see a MAJOR transition in the way these companies derive revenue streams... those that are invested in these new media companies will be greatly rewarded in my opinion later on.
The true essence of what these recent and forthcoming press releases mean are still being digested at almost every desk across not only the USA but the UK, Europe and developing new countries shifting from old fashioned practices to new, exciting and major social changes. Our children are becoming computer experts while most of us barely have time to get out our own quota's in our own positions. (I know a great headhunter organization for anyone that wants a change, get in touch ASAP) This is the time to get in early on a major shift in our social creativity and new and developing technologies type visionary companies. Don't sit around thinking about it, get on the path to success before our competitors do.
Re-read Questec's press release and find out what is happening today, call upon companies like (IATV) and get in-tuned to what will be available. Imagine for a moment that TV-Guide Interactive is like looking at the Microsoft Windows startup screen (around the span of the globe), but instead it says "Welcome to TV-Guide" or "Welcome to ACTV's Hyper-TV." Also remember that there are far more televisions in the world than computers. I have three computers, but I also own four televisions, end of story!
In short I and almost everyone I talk to regarding convergence and the changes witnessed in an early stage growth phase are getting turned on! .....
Fact is these events that companies like (SPYG)Spyglass, (AOL)America Online, (TWX)Time Warner, (IATV)ACTV, Inc., (QSTI)Questec.com, (PVII)Priceton Video, TV-Guide Interactive, Inc. (TVGIA) to name a few are about ready to embark on are ready to hit the switch and turn us all on!
