Additional Comments on show:
From Duley
This is a re-release of an earlier version of this show. This is taken from a
much lower gen source (1st gen) and sounds many times better than the original.
While this is not up to par with some of the better audience recordings I have
posted, it does sound pretty good. However, this show is one of the few known
recorded shows from the short pre Signals tour, and features some Signals
material before the Signals album was even recorded. That alone makes it post
worthy :)
From The Digital Dan:
Taken and remastered from the 1st gen source. This is a suprisingly good
sounding source as compared to the more genned versions. This is a very rare
recording with pre-release versions of songs from Signals before they actually
recorded the album. The recording picks up a lot of the venue acoustics, but
the band remains well centered and individually discernable and separate. The
overall crowd noise is quite high, but you don't hear many people around the
recorder, just the high drone of the collective audience. All in all the sound
is quite excellent and would be considered one of the better shows from the MP,
ESL or Signals tours. Worth having for the wild "La Villa" intro
alone. As with all Digital Reproductions recordings, it's only available via
free trade and never for sale. Just visit the trading links section to find
people that will gladly trade this recording for free.
From Ron's Rush ROIO Review:
This rare show comes from Rushs pre-Signals mini-tour. The date on this
one is listed incorrectly on most lists I have seen. Whats listed above
is correct, since Geddy mentions the citys name and the fact that
its Easter (the above day was a Sunday). The set list is pretty much the
same as MP/ESL, with Subdivisions and The Analog Kid thrown in. This tour also
was the last time many of the older songs were played live, including
Armageddon, Working Man, and In the End. A great piece of Rush history.
