Additional Comments on show:
From Blue Fish
A good audience recording. I was located four rows back in the center section of the Loge. This area was very enclosed so the sound is not as clean as an open area recording. There is some strong bass boom but from what I heard this was characteristic to the sound throughout the hall. The mix is the usual Dream Theater sound, dominate vocals and drums, decent keys and guitar, non-distinguishable bass. The audience noise is a little disappointing. For the first half an hour there are no real distractions. But towards the end of Beyond This Life the person with the seat next to me arrived. He was a John Popper sized guy and did a lot of clapping. He also let out a few oooohyeaaaas. The clapping is a little annoying but luckily he got tired after a few songs and did not clap as much. It is prominent in the recording but not terribly distracting. The band put on a great performance. They looked completely thrilled to be playing the venue. There were a few technical glitches, the main one being James's mic going out for the entire beginning of Beyond This Life. Other than that the sound was okay. Definitely better than the Philly show but not as good as the next night. A B+ rating. Huge THANKS to James (Danger Kitty) for putting all the time into creating the liners and being the Cochese on all these projects.

A very good audience recording. All of the instruments can be heard clearly. Very nice mix. The guitars seem lost in the mix at times but it's not bad. But for me, Jordan's keys stand out the most in this show. Usually, they get drowned out by the vocal and drum parts but they sound awesome (especially during The Glass Prison). During the beginning of the show, the sound tends to waver between the left and right channel. It's so light that I completely forgot about it until I started to write this review up. Blue Fish was right about the crowd noise, it was almost non-existant for the show (with the exception of our favorite drunk by the mics). The band puts on an amazing show and it's great see it being captured on tape. A definite must have for this tour. One of the best circulating! Be glad you signed up for this tree!
