the Whistle

Domestic violence, female infanticide, war.....join people around the world and blow the whistle on violence against women in Trafalgar Square at midday on Sunday 25 November. Assemble at the National Gallery end of the square at 11.45am.
WOMANKIND Worldwide and the YWCA are marking White Ribbon Day (the International Day against Violence Against Women) with events around the UK, and all over the world people are participating in activities over the next few weeks: speaking out, wearing white ribbons, putting up posters, holding events....
We've already distributed over 30,000 white ribbons - the symbol that people will not condone or remain silent about violence against women.
Join us in Trafalgar Square on Sunday 25 November. At midday we will blow whistles for one minute to break the silence surrounding this issue. If you can't join us on the Sunday, blow a whistle somewhere else, or contact us for ribbons, posters and postcards.
