Judges were: Mike Wafer (Xpress), Steph Edwards (rockus.com.au), Rob Nassif (Gyroscope), Heidi Trutwein and Adam Weston (Firestarter Music), Adam Spark (Birds of Tokyo). ORIGINALITY - All over the place. - Interesting mix of syles with one song, not too sure what to make of it. - Quirky fun and interesting rock, some cool ideas. - Hmmm ... a little bizarre, structures were terrible at times, ideas are there, maybe a little execution would be better. - Unique in it's delivery and structure MUSICIANSHIP - Could definitely be tighter, clean up the endings, tighten song structures, felt like there were 20 parts for every song. - Bass playing was good, the rest of you should consider getting lessons, particuarly vocals. - A bit loose but good honest playing. - Good players, vocals need to be more of a strong part as it is clear delivery within songs, though needs more work to fit in with delivery and diversity of songs. - First song arrangement made no sense. MARKETING VIABILITY - Change the name for the love of God. - Once again not clear on what audience you would be marketing to. - Hard to tell, people enjoyed it though. - Not yet sorry. - Solid fun music, always a market. STAGE PRESENTATION - Excellent, you boys seemed like you were really enjoying yourselves, very natural was great to see. - Good but rather awkward. - Quirky and kinda fun, good fun. - Good players, crowd interacts well with the band (handclaps, lighters etc.) however players appear a bit nervous. - Looked self conscious. AUDIENCE RESPONSE - Had a big rentacrowd. - Great strong fan base. - Crowd loved it, quite a response, lots of enthusiastic mates. - Nice rentacrowd. - Best of the night so far. |
