As the title suggests, this anthology is a collection of fantasy, horror, science-fiction and dark humour stories revolving around cats. I'm not quite certain whether my contribution could be classified as horror or science-fiction; it's a bit of a genre straddler. The story deals with Egyptian mythology, sonic technology, archaeology and quantum physics; more than that, I cannot say, because it is a fairly short story. It was a lot of fun being able to combine my academic interests with my original fiction in a somewhat more overt way than applying anthropological lessons to worldbulding in sci-fi/fantasy contexts in this story, though I certainly wouldn't recommend the actions of the main characters - or, for that matter, vouch for the full accurary of some of the more speculative aspects of the science involved.
