Some notes on my "Quick Reference Guide" |
Is It MP3 Sourced? On my guide I have a column that says MP3 "Y" , "N" or "?" No - of course means that there was no visible compression and Frequency levels appear normal. Not MP3 sourced Yes - kinda tricky here. Yes means there is either definatly signs of compression OR that the freq levels appear to be below average and might not "trail off" as you would expect. These show might be MP3 sourced but they may also be FM sourced and their are other reasons shows can have lower frequencies. Mini Disc sourced shows also appear to have lower freq levels. If you want one of these shows it is at your own risk because its very tricky determining weather or not it is in fact MP3 sourced or something else. ? - Means that I cannot determine between the Freq analysis and the Spectral View weather or not there is compression, low freq or what. Mainly this is reserved for shows that have contradictions between the 2 views. Every show I have has been checked using EAC (Exact Audio Copy) to determine the above results. Errors and Notes Please view this section for any show that you are interested in because I've listened to every show I have in order to list these errors. Some may come from the original source but some were probably introduced by bad burns, compressions and clumsy trading. Again, in this area I cannot tell you what was from the Original source and what was not. If this section blank then there are no known audio errors that I could find. Generation/Source If I have it, its there. If I dont know it, its blank.... pretty self explanitory. Thanks |
