I grabbed a spot out here in cyber-space to share some of the pieces of my Rock and Roll past. I figure there has got to be at least 1 or 2 other people that remember what the music scene in the Trenton area was like in the 70's and 80's. I wasn't the only one checking out the many talented bands and perfomers at places like the Aquarius Lounge or Brothers Saloon or Carnegie Hall. If you were there back then you may remember some of this stuff . Trenton, New Jersey has been the hometown of many talented people. Composer George Antheil, comedian Ernie Kovacs, actress Judith Light, major league baseball player Al Downing, saxophonist Richie Cole and singer/songwriter Maury Muehleisen are just some who took their talents to a higher level and achieved national fame. But, their roots were planted here in the Capital City of New Jersey. George Burns was once asked where was the toughest audience he had ever played to? His answer: "Trenton, New Jersey, it's half-way between New York and Philadelphia, so they know what's good!" Look around and enjoy. Hopefully you'll find a good memory.
