Notes: December 22nd

Mizzou faced off Wednesday Night against #1 ranked Illinois in the Annual Braggin Rights game...after the first half we were down by 15...but we played tough and made a valant comeback...Linas Kleiza took over the game, scoring 25 for the Tigers...Kevin Young plays with awesome intensity, but please get that guy some stickum, he can't catch a cold...Believe it or not, a pass actually went OFF HIS FACE!...OK enough about KY, he playes awesome defense and led the team in rebounds with 8...Kalen Grimes, come on Q give him some more minutes...Jason Horton was very impressive, he actually made some shots, and was a threat to score...Did Jason Conley suit up for the game? or was he really that invincible...Jimmy Mckinney: he played alright, not great, but not bad...Key turnovers and the bad first half killed the Tigers...But they rallied back in the 2nd and made a game of it, losing by 6 to the #1 ranked team in the land, the only team who hasn't lost by double digits to the Illini so far this season.

Mizzou won their second straight game...Jason Conley and Thomas Gardner led all scorers with 18 points...Linas Kleiza played great today, scoring 13, grabbing 9 points, and dishing out 9 assists...JMac was apparently under the weather and only played 18 minutes...Kevin Young played great scoring 7 and grabbing 6 boards...Glen Dandridge sat out yet another game...Jason Horton didn't start for the second straight game, but did record a new career high with 7 points...Marshall Brown got his second straight start in place of LK...Spencer Laurie returned from injury and the team seemed to respond,  when he came in during the 1st half the tigers went on a big run, and again in the 2nd half the team went on a run with SL at the point...For the first time we saw Spence and Horton on the court at the same time...Kalen Grimes played with great energy and made some good defensive plays...Good win for the Tigers...next up a tough test against Akansas.

The tigers started off well and built a double digit lead in the 1st half...Linas Kleiza and Jason Horton did not start, Quin inserted Marshall Brown and Thomas Gardner in their place...LK took some terrible shots and also had 5 turnovers...JMac was the leader today scoring 12 and dishing out 4 assists...Kevin Young played better today, and had some real nice finishes including a great throwdown early in the 2nd half...Late in the game Conley took over and led this team to victory with a few highlight reel dunks...Spencer missed his 3rd straight game as he is still suffering from a high ankle sprain...Horton has not looked good so far this season, but he is still a Freshman so it is expected...Dandridge continues to be invisible...Fergie needs to be stronger with the ball downlow and throw it down a few times...We need to improve our free throw shooting, 39% is unacceptable...Good win tigers.

I'm glad I didn't see the game, from the radio and score it was real ugly...Give the ball to Linas and stop messing around...Show a little heart and pride for the Missouri uniform and the tradition of this great program...All around better effort will be needed against Houston, they will come out looking for revenge...Spencer did not play tonight due to a high ankel sprain suffered in practice on Sunday, he was obviously missed...Fergie returned, but didn't give the spark I had hoped for, and the Tigers needed...It was a tough loss against Creighton but I am hopeful we can bounce back.

Notes: November 21st

Jason Horton showed his inexperience in the final minutes against Davidson, he maid some freshman mistakes that hurt the Tigers terribly...Linas was clutch on Friday and proved why he is so valuable with his scoring down the stretch...Hopefully the team gets a boost when Fergie returns after completing his 3 game suspension...Spencer has played very good so far this year and he has improved his defense dramatically averaging 2.3 steals per game...Hopefully we see more of Kalen Grimes, I love Kevin Young's energy but Kalen seems to have a bit more skill on the offensive end...Is Glen Dandrige still on the team? He has been invisible so far...Spencer could become a very good player, if he only shot the ball every once in a while.

Notes: November 17th

The offense seems to flow better with Spencer in the game, I say give him some more minutes...Thomas Gardner is clearly the best player on the team at this point...JMac played great against Houston, for MU to be successful he will to continue to show that leadership.
