I went to the my PCP (Dr. Landon Hoecker) today and i was very pleased to find out that I am back on the scale. I am now back down to 346. Not a great change, but enough to make me smile.
I've also updated my PCP on going to Dr. Sifers on Dec. 17. When I first went to my PCP, he didn't know really know anything about the WLS. However, he was very willing to try to give me a referal to Dr. Helling (only doc that I knew did any WLS in Kansas City area). Now, after a change of insurance I don't need a referral from him. I would like to keep him posted, as I 'm sure he will be doing some aftercare later on for me.
Also, I have told my mom of my decisions casue I was asking for some insurance questions ( works for life insurance company and knows the insur. language lol). I won't be telling my dad till right before the surgery date. It's bad enough hearing my mom tell me I just need to do this or that to lose weight instead of WLS. She's not to presistant as my dad would be cause she knows I've got my mind set on doing this.
