Acorn Skills Day Consists of training in: Mapping / Orienteering Knot's & Spar's First Aid Training Skills Dutch Oven Cooking Location: Bay Trees Park in Castro Valley Loads Very Slowly HOME PAGE CALENDAR ACTIVITIES PIX PAGE SFBAC	The Tres Ranchos District routinely held a scout skills training day as a session of Acorn Training. When National shortened the Acorn Training and eliminated the skills day we found that the need was still there for this kind of basic training. We now hold an activity once or twice each year where basic scout skills are taught to new leaders. They learn basic lashings, first aid presentation techniques, dutch oven cooking, orienteering, and pioneering skills. It is held at the Bay Trees Park in Castro Valley.
