Each flew approximately 2000 feet into the air. Some landed as close as 70 feet from the launch pad, while others landed a quarter mile away. It was an exciting two days for the scouts who participated. Come on out for the high-flyingest event of the year. Get your rocket kit from Mike Gentile, build the sharpest looking rocket in the district, disign a way to carry a raw egg in the payload section, and be prepared for two days of fun. Prizes will be awarded for the best looking rocket, longest duration flight, closest to the launch-pad, and undamaged payload. Get your Space Exploration merit badge book, and begin working on the non-flying requirements. Merit badge counselors will be there to sign completed blue cards or give partials.
