I know he said he'd forgiven me, but I'm not satisfied. I try to make it up to him in this email.

Dear Benny Benson,
Thank for accepting my empty gesture. After reading that you were upset, I had a very sleepless night. Over that night, I wrote you a Haiku poem as a further apology.
Grey Benson can’t spell
I made him cry like a bitch
Sorry Grey, Sorry
I'm not much of a poet, but I practice a lot. I hope you like it. I must confess, I think that this argument has brought us closer together and I now feel a connection with you that is usually only for brothers.
I must admit, I was surprised to learn that I would be out of pocket for this transfer fee. Because we had never discussed it before and I assumed that a well respected lawyer would have a good enough income to cover such things. But all the same, I will try and procure the funds. This will not be easy. As I explained earlier, I am currently in the midst of expanding my company so all of my money is tied up with in my work. Of course once we have finished, I will have enough money to invest in the company expansion, but I will have to figure out if I can retrieve funds that I have already committed.
I will be in touch shortly to alert you to my progress.
Dr. Andthat
P.S. Who paid for dinner?

Dear Dr. Trevor Andthat,
I want to state categorically clear to you that it is impossible to deduct a cent from your online account because it is your personal account and no one can make any deduction from the total fund, this is due to restrictions and existing banking regulations in Nigeria, and so we can not deduct the $2,500 dollars from your money due to the restrictions.
It was interesting having dinner with your partner and he also enjoyed outing, we had cassava marinade with peppered fish it is popular delicacy here in Nigeria. Please you are advised to send the $2,500 for the opening of your online account, we may not wait any further for the opening of your online account as we intend to cancel the process if you continue to delay in sending of the initial deposit for the opening of your online account so that we can conclude credit your account and conclude this transfer.
Once again, it is very important that you send the $2,500 US dollars as quickly as possible via western union in the name of MR ERNEST DAN JUMBO, LAGOS - NIGERIA and then you get back to me with details of the payment.
Yours truly,
ERNEST DAN JUMBO
Head - Accounts/Foreign Remittance Dept.
I wonder when this guy's giong to get sick of me calling him Dumbo.

Dear Dumbo,
The dinner sounds lovely, we very rarely eat fish soaked in urine in my country. Was there any chemistry between your and Grey? It would be nice if you two hooked up, he's so lonely. He does seem to be a bit of a cry baby though.
There was much confusion over the payment. It is now clear to me that I have to pay this $2,500 Hong Kong dollars. It will just take me sometime to get that kind of cash together on such short notice. I beg you to be patient and bear with me.
A/S/L?
Regards,
Dr. Andthat |
