Brian's Search
Brian walked through the thick woods, his face getting scratched by branches
every now-and-then. He wondered if he ever would find Marissa. He hoped he wouldn't run into many trainers. He felt lonley, so he called out his Gloom, and
he talked to it as they hiked on. Suddenly Gloom turned it's head in alarm.
"What is it, buddy?" he asked.
"Gloom, gloom gloom!" it shouted, pointing up a
nearby tree. A Pokéball came falling out of it, and out of the Pokéball came a Pokémon Brian had never seen before.
"Eebi!" it said.
"Gloom!"
"Eebi, Eebi."
"Gloom gloom, gloom gloom gloom!" At that moment, a girl jumped out of the tree, followed by another Pokémon Brian didn't know.
"Eebi, return!" she called after she picked up its Pokéball.
"Who are you?" Brain asked.
"Is that any of your business?" the girl asked, and she ran away, that other mysterious looking Pokémon close behind. This made Brian wonder, but he walked on. Soon he found a Pokéball on the ground, and, wondering what it was doing there, picked it up. He
found another and picked it up.
"Pokéballs, go!" he shouted, and out came a
Arbok and a Weezing.
"Ha, we've got you now, you Lickitung stealer!" yelled a familiar voice and two unfamiliar ones. "It's you! You took Jesse's Lickitung!" yelled the same girl with the strange Pokémon. "Kireihana, go!" she yelled, and the little Pokémon that was following her jumped in front of her and glared evily at Brian with it's otherwise gentle looking eyes.
"Wait! James, arn't you going to save me?" Brian asked.
"Huh? Oh! Hey, Karina, stop!" James yelled.
"Huh?" said the girl, looking over her shoulder at James.
"Don't, he didn't steal Jesse's Lickitung, you would tell me if you did, wouldn't you, Brian?"
James asked.
"Yeah, of course I would tell you... but who is this Karina girl anyway? I met her just a few minutes ago in the middle of the forest, she had this weird looking Pokémon, her Pokéball fell out of the tree!" Brian said.
"Karina's a friend and fellow Rocket member, why do you ask?" said James.
"Uhhhh... am I missing something?" asked Karina.
"This is my brother Brian, Karina," James said.
"Oh, hello Brian."
"Uh, hello Karina, what Pokémon do you have? A bunch of weak not-evolved ones?" Brian asked and laughed. Kireihana glared evily.
"Well, why don't you find that out for yourself? I challenge you to a match!!"
"Okay, as you wish!" said Brian.
"Go, Vulpix!" Karina shouted.
"Vulpix!" it said.
"In that case, go, Dragonair!"
"Vul vulpix, pix vul vulpix pix vul, pix vulpix!!" *translation: he thinks he can beat me with his
water-type Pokémon!(remember only Karina understands this)* Vulpix said to Karina. Karina laughed.
"I know!" Karina said.
"Dragonair, Hyper Beam!" Brian yelled.
"Vulpix, dodge!" Karina said. Vulpix dodged Dragonair's Hyper Beam just in time, and got little damage.
"Vulpix, Quick Attack!" Karina shouted. Vulpix
rammed into Dragonair as hard as possible, half way knocking it out. "Okay Vulpix, good! Now finish it off with Fire Spin!" And Vulpix used Fire Spin and
Dragonair fainted.
"Okay, so your fire-type can beat my water-type, but if you trained that one so well, you must have neglected the others! And you weren't even smart enought to have your Vulpix evolve! Go, Kadabra!"
"Hehehe... Vulpix, return! Go, Eebi!" Eebi looked back at Karina, who nodded. "Eebi, Psybeam!"
yelled Karina.
"Kadabra, Teleport!"
"Okay, so you dodged that one, but let's see
if you can do it again! Eebi, Psybeam again!"
"Kadabra, Teleport again!" yelled Brian, but Kadabra wasn't quick enough. "Kadabra, return! Go, Beedrill!"
"Eebi, return! I choose you, Gloom!"
"Gloom!" it said and waited for Karina's nod. She
nodded, and it put it's attention to Beedrill like the others had. Jesse, James, and Meowth were nearby, watching with excitement. They all had thier bets on
Karina, because they knew how good she was, plus James knew that Brian hadn't been training for more than half a year.
"Beedrill, Pin Missile!" This hit Gloom, but only did some damage.
"Gloom, use your Sleep Powder!" This made
Beedrill fall asleep, and then Gloom used Solar Beam and made it faint. "Good
Job, Gloom! Return! Go, Vileplume!"
"Okay, then. Dugtrio, I choose you! Dugtrio,
Slash attack!" This did quite a bit of damage to Vileplume, but it was still standing.
"Vileplume, Poison Powder!" This, of course, poisoned Dugtrio, and Dugtrio started to look pretty bad. "Vileplume, finish it with your Acid
attack!"
"Okay okay, Dugtrio, return!" said Brian.
"Kireihana, go!" Karina yelled, and from behind her, out came that Pokémon who had been following her.
"In that case, Ditto, go!" "Diiitoooo..." it said. "Oh no, I forgot that Ditto's weak! Ditto, return!" said Brian.
"Fine, then I shall switch Pokémon also. Jigglypuff, go!" Before Brian could get his own Pokémon to come out, Jigglypuff started singing. Everyone fell asleep. I mean everyone... Karina, her Kireihana, Brian, Meowth, Jesse, and James. Jigglypuff woke up Karina, Jesse, and James, and Jesse woke up Meowth and Karina woke up Kireihana. "Good job, Jigglypuff! Now all we have to do is wait for him to wake up, we can't just leave him hear sleeping, something could happen to him," Karina said.
A couple hours later, Brian woke up. It took him awhile, but he finally remembered the battle.
"Well, I guess you won, Karina. I have to say, your Pokémon are pretty strong. And it's even more amazing since they all arn't completely evolved. Only Kireihana and Eebi are, right? My Pokédex tells me that Eebi is a psycic evolution of Eevee, and Kireihana evolves from Vileplume. You must be an Oddish trainer, eh?" Brian said.
"I used to be, but then I got my Jigglypuff and that changed that. After that I got Vulpix, then an Eevee. Jigglypuff and I are really close, well all of
my Pokémon and I are close, but I mean we like to sing together. We can do a pretty good job singing 'Lullaby' if I do say so myself."
James and Jesse then nodded, having seen Jigglypuff and Karina perform. Brian then said goodbye to
James, Jesse, Karina, Meowth, and Kireihana.
