The Return -"Brock Dates a Digidestin" II
So... a year passes, and by now Misty and Ash have pushed those odd kids out of their minds. But Brock, however, longs to see Sora again. Yes, Brock and
Misty went out once, but they found they didn't like each other as much as they thought. Anyway, Sora was now dating Tai, and she couldn't be happier. Kari,
Tai's little sister, loved Sora even more now that Tai was dating her. Mimi felt alone. She wanted to go back and meet that Brock guy. Sora told her he was a
waste of time, but Mimi thought differently.
"Hey, Matt? Remember those kids we saw? The ones followed by the funny looking yellow thing?" T.K. asked his older brother.
"Yeah, what about them?
Don't bother me with things like this, there ARE better things to talk about,
arn't there?" Matt said back.
"What do you want to know, little T.K.?" asked
Sora, "Maybe Mimi and I can help you. MATT is just a little crabby!" Then they
all turned around. Someone behind them said,
"Krabby? Where's a Krabby?" Mimi
gasped.
"Hey, aren't you that Ash dude?" she said hopefully.
"How do you know my
name? Are you some kinda freak or something? Leave me alone you weirdo!" Ash
said back. Brock just stood there saying nothing.
"Don't you remember us? I went
out with Brock for awhile," Sora said. They heard mumbling from behind Ash,
"I remember you." Sora looked around him. "Misty? Is that you?" she asked.
"No, it's your mother!" Misty said.
They talked for awhile, and decided to stick together for awhile. Misty kept
on looking at Matt, though he never noticed. But Sora did.
"So you like him,
huh?" she asked, giggling.
"What's it to ya if I do?" Misty said.
"You need a
chill pill, girl!" Sora said, still giggling, "I could fix you a date with Matt
if you want. He is sometimes really cold, but I think he'll be a little
different around you. I think he'll like you, you're his type," Sora said. Misty
gave Sora an evil look,
"I DO NOT LIKE HIM! WOULD YOU SHUT UP???" Misty
screamed.
"Okay okay..." said Sora as she went back to sleep near her friends.
In her heart, Misty still really loved Brock. But she was also falling for
Matt. She had no idea what to do. She'd like to talk to someone about it, but
who would she talk to? Not Sora, but maybe Mimi... Nah. There wasn't anyone she
could talk to.
Misty yawned sleepily. She only had gotten about 2 hours of sleep total. Mimi
was standing there next to her.
"Come on! I though you'd like to come with
Palmon and I, I'm going to get some water for everyone. Your, uh,
whatever-you-call-it, can come with too if you like." Misty picked up Togepi.
"It's name is Togepi. And sure, I'll come with you."
"Hi! My name is Palmon... I'm Mimi's Digimon, are you Misty's Digimon?" Palmon asked Togepi.
"Togeprrrrri?" it answered in confusion. Mimi and Misty laughed.
"It can't understand you, Palmon, and it's not a Digimon, it's a, uh,
Pokémon... and it can only say it's name," Mimi said.
"Mimi? Can you help me?"
Misty asked, not really wanting to.
"With what?" Mimi asked, half distracted.
"I need you to help me get a date with Matt. But you can't tell Sora anything.
Promise?" Mimi looked up in shock.
"Huh? You want a date with MATT???? Well, I
can help you, as long as you... uh... get me a date with Brock. But you can't
tell Ash, Promise?"
"It's a deal!" Misty said. They happily walked back.
"Hey, Brock?" Misty said when she and Brock were Ash-free.
"Huh?" Brock said, grooming his Vulpix.
"Will you do me a favor?"
"What kind of favor?" Brock asked.
"Well... uh... will you go on a date with Mimi? You know the one with
the-" Brock just about screamed.
"YEAH-HUH YOU BET!! She's sooooooo cute..."
"Matt?" Mimi asked shyly.
"What do you want, Mimi?" he said back.
"Do you like
that Misty girl?" she said.
"Yeah, she's okay I guess," Matt said.
"Would you go
out with her?" Matt looked at her in a weird way.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean go
out with her... you know... a date!" Matt thought for a moment.
"I guess I could
give it a try," he said. He turned aroun to hide his smile from Mimi.
