Of Ghosts and Catnip
I had woken up early that morning like I always do. Unlike Jessie and James who sleep till about noon everyday. I swear I will never understand humans, but anyway we were camped at the base of a mountain near a river about a mile from team twerps' camp when I thought I heard something.
I looked up and sitting on the ridge of the cliff was a person, only she was clear I could see right through her! Now let me tell you Meowth was scared that's for sure, but unlike my two companions I try not to scream and grab the first person I come in contact with blubbering like a baby.
So I calmly stared at her she turned toward me and started to glow that was all it took I turned around and ran back to camp. Unfortunately I wasn't watching where I was going and ran right into Jessie's head waking her up.
Now anybody who knows anything about Jessie knows not to wake her up until she wakes up on her own so I had pretty much made a death wish. "You mangy furball how dare you wake me up!" Jessie screamed pulling out a mallet. I of course did the only reasonable thing to do I hid behind James who was also awake by now.
"Look I'm sorry I wasn't watchin where I was goin' Jessie please don't kill me please" I begged. James gave Jessie a pitying look she glared at me then sighed and put the mallet away
"You'd better have a good excuse for waking me up" She snarled. I nodded
"Oh I do" I said, "Ya see I was out at da river getting some water and I looked up and saw dis girl that was see through! I swear I could see right through her. It was awful."
Jessie and James both exchanged a look "Have you been sniffing cat nip again have you?" James asked. I glared at him
"No! Don't ya believe me come on guys when have I lied ta ya" I implored my eyes getting teary. They shook their heads
"Meowth of all the dumb stories you've come up with this is the dumbest" Jessie said rolling her eyes.
"Even I could've done better then that" James said. My eyes narrowed they didn't believe me when it was true I'd never lied to them and now they were calling a liar, well, that was too much.
"Fine don't believe me," I said sniffing back the tears that were threatening to fall. I turned and walked out of camp once I was out of their sight I turned around to see them staring after me with a surprised looks on their faces.
I continued walking until I came to the river again then I sat down and cried. I eventually stopped and stared into the water at my reflection and started crying again when I heard something behind me.
I turned around to see the twerp's Pikachu but I didn't feel like grabbing it so I ignored it and turned around so it couldn't see me cry.
"Pika pi?" He asked coming up and putting a paw on my shoulder. I sniffed and turned to look at him
"Why would you care?" I asked.
He said again.
"Fine" I said sighing so I told him about the ghost and the fight with my teammates. "I thought dey were my friends my only friends now I don't have dem I've lost everything"
I said as I finished. Pikachu didn't know what to say and before he could say anything I heard Ash calling for him and he said bye and left me alone with my thoughts.
"Hey" I said suddenly I had an idea "If I can get da ghost, den I could prove ta dem dat I wasn't lying yes" so with that I set off towards the mountains. I made my way up the trail until I got to the cliff where I had seen the ghost then I walked along it until the place where I had seen her then I started searching. I looked everywhere and at about seven I saw Jessie and James at the river looking for me. I decided that I should let them know where I was so I walked over to the ledge and called down
"Hey guys!" They looked up
"What are you doing up there?" Jessie called up.
"Looking for da ghost" Yelled back I was about to turn around when I saw their faces go pale as a dewgongs fur.
They pointed behind me so I turned around and there was the ghost I felt my legs go numb as it started to glow then it sent a wave of energy that knocked me the side of the cliff. I screamed as I fell toward the pointed rocks below Jessie and James were screaming to and crying and then I hit the rocks.
Meowth jumped up in a cold sweat he looked around it was still at night and Jessie and James were still asleep. They were in their hotel room he sighed he'd just had the worse dream
"I wonder what caused dat?" He whispered to himself then he noticed the bag of catnip beside him and remembered that he had had some earlier. He picked it up and tossed it in the trash
"I quit" I said and lied down to go back to sleep.
