The Great Pokemon Adventure Part-2

Chapter 3

As Eric walked along Route One, with Pikachu trotting at his side, he spotted a Rattata.

"It's a Rattata! Pikachu, Thundershock now!"

"Pikachuuuuu!"

"Raaaaaataaaaaaaataaaaaaaa!"

"Good job Pikachu!" From then on, they started a training program. They fought 35 Pokemon a day. It was hard work, but by the time they reached Viridian City, Pikachu was level 10 and had learned Tail Whip and Thunder Wave.

At the Pokemon Center, while Nurse Joy was healing Pikachu, Eric sat down on a couch in the lobby and flipped his Pokedex open. He selected the folder on "Pokemon Masters" on an impulse. There was only one file in there, a file on- Eric's heart skipped a few beats- Ash Ketchum?!Eric opened the file. This is the first two paragraphs of what he read...

"Ash Ketchum, born and raised in the town of Pallet, was the only trainer to ever defeat the Elite Four. His rival, Gary Oak, the current Professor Oak, came close to that but lost against Lance; now dead."

However, Gary gained recognition as the world's first trainer outside Team Rocket to battle Mewtwo, which was later captured by Ash. Ash also was the first person to return alive from an encounter with Articuno, Zapdos, or Moltres; not counting the one at the Indigo Plateau.

Ash successfully caught all of these and also battled with the legendary Missingno. Ash could tell little about his encounter, except that it seemed to have wings. Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, and Mewtwo later had clones made and the copies were tended by the original, and then released into the wild so that other promising trainers might catch them.

Ash's starting Pokemon was Pikachu, and for a long time it was his only-"

"Chaaaaaaaansey!"Startled, Eric looked up. There was one of Nurse Joy's Chanseys, holding Pikachu.

"Pika!" Pikachu cried joyfully and jumped into his arms.

"Thanks Chansey!"

"Chansey!" it replied, and marched back to Nurse Joy for new tasks.

Eric walked out, took a look at the sky, and then dashed in to ask Nurse Joy if there was a hotel nearby because it was getting late and it looked like it was going to rain.

"Yes," she replied. "There's a big hotel near the Pokemart called "Hotel Rocke`tt". You can't miss it."

"Thanks!" Eric called over his shoulder as he and Pikachu dashed out. It wasn't raining. It was pouring. Before they had gone two feet they were thoroughly soaked.

They ran as fast as they could through the chilling rain and both were envisioning nice hot showers at Hotel Rocke`tt.

After what seemed like hours, Eric saw the welcoming double doors of a building. "Hotel Rocke`tt" it proclaimed in big red neon letters. They hurried in, but Eric, tired from the cold, lost his balance on the slippery floor, hit his head on a desk, and blacked out.

Chapter Four

When Eric came to, he found himself staring up at black. Every way he turned all he saw was black. Then he remembered to open his eyes. He was in a corner of the lobby.

But something was missing. Pikachu was nowhere in sight. He rushed out into the main lobby and heard an unfamiliar voice say:

"Well, the boy finally woke up." Eric spun around and saw two humans and two Pokemon.

The speaker was a boy who appeared to be 17 and had (obviously dyed) bluish-purple neck-length hair. There was a tall girl who looked about the same age whose red hair went to the side and curled up at the tip. Behind them was a Meowth and...

"Pikachu!" Eric cried.

"Pikaaaapiiiiiiii!" Pikachu jumped onto Eric and did a small Thunder Shock.

Meanwhile the people were just standing there, smiling in the oddest way. Eric turned and thanked them, then asked where he could book a room. The girl replied.

"We have the ledger right here. Just tell us your full name, occupation, date of birth, and, if you're a Pokemon trainer, tell us all your Pokemon."

The boy opened the book, took out a pen, and listened intently while the girl asked questions.

"Name?"

"Eric Emall."

"Occupation?"

"Pokemon trainer."

When they heard this they paused for a second, smiled, and resumed.

"Date of birth?"

"The 4th of May, 1123 APD (After Pokemon Discovery)

Your Pokemon?"

At this point Pikachu jumped onto Eric's shoulder. Eric glanced at it and smiled.

"Just my Pikachu."

The boy closed the book and shared a look with the girl and the Meowth. The three seemed...disappointed, somehow. Eric inquired,

"Do you have specialty suites for different Pokemon types?"

The boy answered. "Yes, we have Specials for Fire, Water, Grass, Flying, Psychic, and Ground. We also have the Pokemaster suite." Eric debated in his head, Ground's floor would be electricity proof but uncomfortable for Pikachu, Regular's furnishings were spartan, and the Pokemaster...

"What's the Pokemaster suite like?"

The girl replied, "It has 2 king-sized beds, a Pokemon area, and a swimming pool for swimming and water Pokemon."

Eric thought it over then announced. "I'll take it."

"Okay, that'll be $300." Eric handed over the money and the boy produced the key out of nowhere.

"17th floor, 7th door on the left." Eric took it.

"Thanks."

In exactly 2.3678 seconds Eric and Pikachu were across the lobby and into the elevator. They waited impatiently for the elevator to come to a halt. Then, faster than a Pidgeot, they dashed out and into their room.

Pikachu dove into the Poke-house and fell asleep in no time. Eric waited only to get changed into his pajamas before collapsing into a deep sleep.
