Friends Forever
Jessie and James sat looking up at the stars Meowth had fallen asleep a few hours ago leaving the two to some time alone. Jessie looked over at James she smiled he looked so handsome with the moonlight reflecting off his lavender hair. She sighed as she remembered the first time they had met and how much they had been through since then.
"Of course he'll never love me," Jessie thought sadly.
And so we talked all night about the rest of our lives
Where we're gonna be when we turn 25
I keep on thinking times will never change
That things will always be the same
But when we leave this year we won't be coming back
No more hangin' out cause we're on a different track
And if ya got something that ya want to say
You'd better say it now cause you don't have another day
Cause we're movin' on and we can't slow down
These memories are playing like a film without a sound
And I keep on thinking about that night in June
I didn't know much of love
But it came too soon and it was just me and you
And then we got real blue
Staying home talking on the telephone
We get so excited we get so scared
Laughing at ourselves saying life's not fair.
And this is how it sounds
James looked over at Jessie it seemed like something was bothering her because when she turned to look at him her sapphire eyes were clouded with thoughts and she looked as though she might cry but before he could tell she looked away again. His emerald eyes lit up as he watched her silhouetted against the moon her crimson hair glinting in the moonlight she looked so beautiful in that moment that he just wanted to hold her and kiss her. Then he remembered that if he every did something like that she'd probably hurt him so he pushed the thought out of his mind and stared sadly at the moon wondering if she could ever, would ever love him the way he loved her.
So if we get the big jobs and make the big money
When we look back now will our jokes still be funny
Will we still remember everything we learned in school?
Still be trying to break every single rule
Will little brainy bobby be the stockbroker man?
Can heather find a job that won't interfere with her tan?
I keep, keep thinking that it's not goodbye
Keep on thinking it's a time to fly
Jessie looked over at James he seemed troubled by something she sighed she hated seeing him sad.
"Hey James" she said softly. He turned around to face and just as he did she kissed him at first he was surprised then he just let the kiss go on and on hoping that it would never end. When it did he stared at Jessie surprised
"You wouldn't believe how long I've wanted to do that" he said smiling.
"Me too" Jessie said. They kissed again under the moon when they parted this time James leaned over close to her ear and whispered
"I love you Jessica" Jessie smiled she had wanted to hear him say that for so long
"I love you too James" she whispered back.
As we go on we remember all the times we had together
And as our lives change come whatever
We will still be friends forever.
The next morning Meowth awoke to find his teammates asleep in each other's arms. At first he was surprised and thought something had happened but when he noticed that both of them had smiles on their faces he smiled he knew they had finally admitted that they loved each other and that meant everything in the world to him.
Will we think about tomorrow like we think about now?
Can we survive it out there? Can we make it somehow?
I guess that I thought that this would never end
And suddenly it's like we're women and men
Will the past be a shadow that will fallow us round?
Will these memories fade when I leave this town
I keep, I keep thinking that it's not goodbye
I keep on thinking it's a time to fly
