A Song Can Tell A Million Words
It was a beautiful say outside, with Pidgeys chirping, Caterpies and Weedles crawling along, and, in the river, many Goldeen, Seaking, and Magikarp swimming along After, once again, ANOTHER day of entering, posing, saying the motto, challenging, battling, losing, and blasting off, quite painfully, might I add, Team Rocket walked into a small clearing, all bemoaning their sore bodies.
"We are so pathetic!" James wailed. "We are always going to lose!" Jessie was not going to stand this, and in her anger, slapped him with her paper fan, that, somehow, she had pulled out of thin air. (Author's note- How do they do that? Change clothes in two seconds, pull things out of thin air Ect, ect. s_s*)
"I'm not going to let you talk about ourselves like that! We don't always lose, only when the twerp calls out Pikachu!"
"When would that not be?" Meowth asked. Both Jessie and James sighed, and found a place to set up camp for the night.
"I'm going for a walk," Jessie announced when they were done.
"Where?" Meowth asked, talking in his horrible Jersey accent.
"Just somewhere," Jessie answered, "To think, mostly about how we're going to catch Pikachu tomorrow." With that, she walked off towards the river. Meowth also decided to take a walk, but no where near the river, of course. James didn't dare ask where, but he noticed Meowth had walked towards the east.
James stared after Jessie with extreme admiration. He loved the way she never gave up, even though, after you did the math, in 125 episodes, they had lost a total of 155 times. He decided to take this opportunity to check out a couple of things. Jessie never let him look into any of her stuff.
She had thousands, although not literally, of CDs, and he had almost never listened to any of them, unless she forced his opinion out of him for some of them. He rummaged around in her duffel bag (Author's note- And another thing: How do they carry all of their stuff in bookbags? They need more than one pair of clothes, a can of food, and, on some occasions, a ball of yarn! ·_·***), and pulled out random CDs.
He was looking for some that he knew she listen to a lot. Then he found it. Backstreet Boys: Millennium. James knew she loved it, she had been so happy when he had given it to her for her 17th birthday. And it was in her portable CD player half of the time. He popped it in, and put the mode on random.
He looked at the back cover, and saw that he had heard two of the songs: Larger Than Life, and The Perfect Fan. 'I'll just skip over them if they come up,' he decided. Then the first song started. Number 4. He looked on the cover, and saw that it was call "It's gotta be you". James started listening to the lyrics:
Baby, it's the way you make me,
Kinda get me go crazy,
Never wanna stop,
It's gonna be you
James realized this was the way he felt when he had first saw her. He had known that she was the one for him, that nothing would take her away from him As soon as he started thinking deeply about this the song ended, and the next one started.
Number 10: Spanish Eyes
Knowing that hate is wrong,
And love is right for us tonight,
When I look into your Spanish eyes,
I know the reason I am alone,
And the world is so beautiful tonight
James began to think that there was a conspiracy going on- two songs that contemplated his life It was the way he got comfort from just looking into Jessie's eyes. The determination and confidence he had had all come from Jessie The next song started.
Number 2: "I Want It That Way"
You are my fire,
The one desire,
Believe when I say,
I want it that way
This sparked major thought inside of James' head: 'Did the producers just hack into my brain, take all of my thoughts, and turn them into songs?' This was his overall feeling for Jessie. He had loved her since day 1, but had never had the nerve to say it. This was one of the ways he had imagined explaining it to her
The next song began. Number 1: Larger Than Life. He could skip over this one. He pressed forward and came up with number 6: Don't Want You Back.
You hit me faster than a shark attack,
You saw my picture on the "Backstreet's Back,"
Alright, And you were more than just a pretty face,
But how you fooled me, I'm still amazed
'OK, this is getting scary,' James thought. This is exactly what he wanted to say when he was mad at Jessie. He knew how Jessie could get when she was mad, and sometimes he regretted ever teaming up with her. But The next song came on.
Number 9: Back To Your Heart. He remembered Jessie telling him that this was her favorite song
It's not that I can't live without you,
It's just that I don't even want to try,
Every night I dream about you,
Ever since the day we said goodbye,
If I wasn't such a fool,
Right now I'd be holding you,
There's nothing that I wouldn't do,
Baby if I only knew
This amazed him. These were his passions after the fight. James knew that, while it would be hard, he could never live without her. Jessie was the only person that actually cared for him, and he knew it, although she never let it show. Next song Number 12: The Perfect Fan. He could skip that, too
Next Number 3: Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely. He knew Jessie listened to this one a lot too.
Guilty roads to an endless love, There's no control,
Are you with me now? Your every wish will be done,
They tell me, Show me the meaning of being lonely,
Is this the feeling I need to walk with?
Tell me why I can't be there where you are,
There's something missing in my heart
This is getting freaky. This is how James felt after all those near-death incidents: St. Anne, and when their Gyrados submarine had leaked He could go on and on. James was glad that, in all those times, he hadn't lost her. Next up: Number 11: No One Else Comes Close...
And girl, you know that I would never,

And when I wake up to The touch of your head on my shoulder

Every kiss and every day, I love you, girl, In every way
Although James was always pondering over how much he had a crush on Emiri, one of the better members of Team Rocket, he knew that nothing would come between his and Jessie's love for each other. Only if death forced them apart The next song started: Number 7: Don't Want To Lose You Now
I never thought that I would lose my mind,
That I could control this,
Never thought that I'd be left behind,
That I was stronger than you
Don't want to lose you now, Baby,
I know we can win this, Don't want to lose you now,
No, no, or ever again
This is how he felt after Jessie had just blown up her temper in his face. He never meant to hurt her, and he was always sorry, even though it sometimes wasn't his fault. He always wanted to come crawling back, but the thought of getting her madder stopped him. Number 8 started:
The One I guess you were lost when I met you,
But still there were tears in your eyes,
So out of trust, and I knew,
No more than mysteries and lies To hold you,
And make sure that you'll be alright,
Cuz my feeling strong,
And I want to Take you from darkness to light
When James had first met Jessie, she had just come from an abusive home, and her mother had just died. He'd wanted to help so much, and somehow, he'd gotten his wish Last one: Number 5, I Need You Tonight
Open up your heart to me,
And say what's on your mind,
I know that we have been through so much pain,
But I still need you in my life, this time,
I need you tonight, I need you right now,
I know deep within my heart,
It doesn't matter if it's wrong or right, I need you tonight
This awed him most of all. This is how he felt every night when he drifted off to sleep, with Jessie in her sleeping bag next to him. Ever since they were 12, he had known that he loved her. He just never wanted to admit it When the CD was finally done, all 45-something minutes of it, Jessie finally returned to camp.
She was still looking very downcast, and James felt sorry for her. They had worked so hard on their plan. He walked up to her and said,
"Still bummed about Pikachu?" Jessie nodded sadly.
"We worked so hard! I can't believe it didn't work!" (Author's Note- Well, no duh it didn't work! This is Team Rocket we're talking about!) James looked into her cobalt blue eyes and said comfortingly,
"Remember, Jess, every black cloud has a silver lining," After an awkward silence, Jessie looked up and smiled.
"James?"
"Yeah, Jessie?"
"I think you're my silver lining." ******************************************************
Author's Note- It's a miracle! My first finished fanfic!!! All of my others are sssssooooooooo llllllllloooooooonnnnngggggg!!!!!!!!!! My shortest one is at 25 Microsoft Word pages! Well, I know I was supposed to do this at the top, but I wasn't thinking, so
