The American Pit Bull Terrier Was The  #1
"FAMILY
DOG"
During The 1st Part Of The 20th Century
These friendly, intelligent dogs were the absolute opposite of the stereotype that persists today.  Medium to large, colors ranging from black to all white and everything in between, with faces that actually seem to be smiling, known as "ideal pets" loyal, bright, handsome and friendly.  Only in recent years has the breeds reputation plummeted.  Only in recent years, have they been systematically tortued by people, deliberatelt trained to fight or be vicious, so they could be waggered on, stand guard for drug dealers and thugs and bred randomly and irresponsibly for profit.

Famous people such as President Roosevelt, President Woodrow, General Patton, Thomas edison, Fred Astaire, Humphrey Bogart, Helen Keller, Anne Bancroft, Billy Rhodes all owned Pit Bull Terriers.  More Currently; Michale J. Fox, Stephany Kramer, Jan Michael Vincent, Jeremy Miller, Anthony Robbins, Molly Price, Steve Irwin, The Crocodile Hunter, Alicia Silverston, John Stienbeck, Fatty Arbuckle, Mel Brooks, Bernadette Peters, David Spade, Madonna, Usher, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Judd Nelson, James Ellroy, Walter Scott, Barbara Eden, Rosie Perez, Kelli Willaims, James Caan, Athletes like: Shaq O Niel, Mo Vuaghn, Jack Dempsey, Robert Ferguson, Tamika Dixon also own or have owned A.P.B.T.'s.  Could they all be wrong about this breed ????
