At the time of her death, Marilyn had only $2,200 in her Cheque Account.

The Disney Studios were said to have based the shape of Tinkerbell in the 1953 Movie 'PETER PAN' on Marilyn.  This is urban mythology.

Norma Jeane was 'discovered'  by an Army Photographer when she worked on the assembly line of an aircraft factory in 1944.  A year later, she had already appeared on the front covers of 33 magazines.

Marilyn's favourite drink was Dom Perignon champagne(1953).

At high school, her nickname was "The MMmmm Girl." Some claim that it was because of a slight stammer...who Knows?

Marilyn was crowned the "Miss California Artichoke Queen" in 1947.

During the making of "Some Like It Hot", Marilyn was pregnant but lost the baby to a miscarriage.

Marilyn thought that her hands looked fat on the screen so she tried to avoid showing them.

Among the two hundred books owned by Marilyn were titles by Tolstoy, Flaubert, Milton and Steinbeck.  She also liked to listen to music by Beethoven.

In 1955, Marilyn set up her own production company in an attempt to take control of her own carreer.

Marilyn was notorious for her bad time keeping and having to do re-takes.
