gimme note about it if you do.

Some notes:
I played the Dutch version of Lufia II, as well as the english version.
For the first version I'll stick with the English names of, maybe the updates
will show the Dutch names as well... I was currently testing with the english
version. Where I know them I might, as well, show you the Dutch name...

Anyway the party-member names aren't changed, so that makes things a little
easier, won't it?

The bosses noted with a "*" aren't really bosses, but normal enemies, which may
right now be too strong to qualify as a boss... I'm not really fond of this
cheap kind of handling, even on an old game, but when a boss is noted with a
"*" you can be sure this one returns later as a normal enemy.

Enemies marked with a "s" are sinistals or very strong related to the
sinistrals. Most of them will come back later in the game.

When I note the party members by a boss, I note the levels I had when I fought
them. Those levels are NOT the recommended levels, but MY levels.

And the name of the hero is Maxim... You can change that name if you want, but
I'll stick with his original name Maxim... Okay?

If you want to print this document and you want this document to be in the shape
I meant it to be... Please use webbrowers, notepad or the
"copy Tricrokra_Lufia_II_Boss_Faq.txt prn" dos-command... NEVER use Word or
Wordpad... Those utils will fuck up the document too much...

And a note for the creators of this game... Please make a version for the PSX
or the PS2.... I'll buy it at once!!!

A thing about the Dutch version:
-The Dutch Version of Lufia II is just Lufia, since the first Lufia never
appeared in the Netherlands, neither in Dutch or English. So if you have a
 Lufia II.

===== And now for the bosses ====

Boss 01: * Lizard Man
Dutch Name: Hagedisman
Difficulty: Very hard
Party: Maxim 3
Location: Cave north of your village
Experience: 100
Cash: 125 Gold
Preperations: Bring as many potions as possible. The spell "Strong" maybe
               of little help.

You won't believe it, but this fight is harder than the final boss... Good to
know isn't it... It's basically a matter of having enough potions. The first
and the second turn you just have to attack, and then it's one round healing
and one round attacking... At least 10 potions is the minimum you should have.

Boss 02: Big Catfish
Difficulty: Medium
Party: Maxim 8
Location: Lake Cave
Experience: 300
Cash: 300 Gold
Preparations: The spell "Strong" is nice here.

Not as tough as the lizard man it seems... You must watch out for its
mega-quake which can do a 20+ attack... His move "Flash" can be even more
dangerous. It does 35+ attack. His normal attacks are bout 10+
Keep this all in mind, and you'll win.

Boss 03: * Regal Goblin
Difficulty: Very extreemly hard
Party: Maxim 12, Tia 12
Location: Forgot the name of this one.
Experience: 1808 (is what I got. Depends on the allies he calls I think)
Cash: 508 Gold (see exp message)
Preperations: Magic to heal

His normal attacks are about 10+. No big deal. Problem is that he'll summon
allies. And not really weak allies :(
His allies are the biggest problem of this fight. They may be easily defeated,
but putting all you powers on them will make this fight last forever!
A way to solve the problem is by using "bomb attack" which Maxim can use if
he's equipped with an "Insect Crush". Tia might do a great deal with "Spark"
on the allies. As long as the boss is alone she might do it on him alone, since
that does more damage and Tia's normal attacks.
Good to remember is that "strong" can be used on as well, one ally as on both!

Boss 04: * Follower (2x)
Difficulty: Easy
Party: Maxim 13, Tia 13, Guy 11
Location: Tanbel
Experience: 200
Cash: 500 Gold
Preperations: -

The first real easy boss fight... Or was it no boss? Haha...
Their attacks are no big deal and they have very little HP so, there's no need
to worry about anything.

Boss 05: S Camu
Difficulty: Medium
Party: Maxim 15, Tia 15, Guy 14
Location: Tanbel tower (or something like that)
Experience: 3100
Cash: 5250 Gold
Preperations: Be at full health. Easy requirement since there are recoveryspots
               nearby.

Just like the Regal Goblin (boss 3), this guy calls for allies. The followers.
His "Buster Attack" is a rather strong move. Maxim and Guy might survive it
easily, but for Tia it is a problem. Magics like "strong" can become very handy here.
His normal attacks are about 50+, so that the least ammount of HP you need to
survive that. Sometimes he can put you asleep. Not so nice since you'll need
all the manpower you can get in this fight. If you have a kukri and enough
"Ip" (that's "Rk" in the Dutch version) you can do "Thunder Blast"
that seems to hurt him pretty much. This fight is tough, but not as
hard as it seems.

Boss 06: Tarantula
Difficulty: Hardest fight in the game!
Party: Maxim 19, Tia 19, Guy 19
Location: ?
Experience: 6280 (Is what I got. Allies you see)
Cash: 8458 Gold
Preperations: There is a recovery and savespot in a secret passage nearby. For God's sake
use it! Equip Tia with a Aqua Whip. You can get it in this
               dungeon.

He can call for allies. It's getting annoying I suppose. His "Poison shower" is deadly on
all party members (and poisonous), and especially Tia is vulnerable for that move.
Normal attacks can paralyse you. That makes this boss, a really hard one :(
One of the hardest of the entire game.
If you want to find a magic weakness... Waste of valuable turns and MP... Fire is the only
thing that hurts him, and it's not really impressing :(
Tia's Aqua Attack which she can do with very much Ip and an "Aqua Whip" is the way to hurt
him most. But even then this fight is sooooo hard. You see, Ip is not easily acquired and
Tia is the weakest in the party. It just a matter of luck to win this fight.
How the game creators could be that awful to give this guy "Stronger" which heals 180
hitpoints, is a very great question. You're in a fight you can never win, but you do have
to win it.... YOu got an impossible task ahead...
Killing his allies as soon as he summons them, can be a good strategy.

Boss 07a: Daniele (1)
Difficulty: Not that hard
Party: Maxim 21, Tia 21, Guy 21, Selan 18
Location: Treasure Sword Shrine
Experience: 300
Cash: 1000 Gold
Preperations: -

This guy is fast, and that's er.... that's it... His attacks are pretty weak, but his
speed can make him tricky... But after the Tarantula every boss is easy, right?
No seriously... this guy is very easy. But you'll soon need to deal with him again with
a half party... Be prepared!

Boss 07b: Pierre (1)
Difficulty: Not that hard
Party: Maxim 21, Tia 21, Guy 21, Selan 19
Location: Treasure Sword Shrine
Experience: 300
Cash: 1000 Gold
Preperations: -

Just like Daniele this guy's greatest ally is his speed. Tia's Aqua strike is very handy
against him :)

Boss 07c: Pierre (2)
Difficulty: A little bit harder, but not THAT hard
Party: Maxim 22, Tia 22
Location: Treasure Sword Shrine
Experience: 2300
Cash: 4000 gold
Preperations: Have Pierre and Daniele defeated before or else this fight can't start

He fights on the same way, but now there are only two of you. That's something to keep in
mind.

Boss 07d: Daniele (2)
Difficulty: Half a party, that's makes it a little harder, but not THAT hard
Party: Guy 21, Selan 19
Experience: 2300
Cash: 4000 Gold
Preperations: See Pierre (2)

The story is the same as the first time you beat Daniele. Only with 2 party members
now. Good luck.

Boss 08: S Gades (1)
Difficulty: Impossible
Party: Maxim 24, Tia 24, Guy 24, Selan 21
Location: Gordovan West Tower
Experience: -
Cash: -
Preperations: -

You'll never win, so don't try it. You're not supposed to win, anyway!

Boss 09: * Mummy (4x)
Difficulty: Easy!
Party: Maxim 25, Tia 24, Selan 22
Location: North Dungeon
Experience: 400
Cash: 2000 Gold
Preperations: -

Guy is gone for a short while, and that makes one powerhouse less. Nevertheless
this is an easy fight. Let Tia and Selan cast "Spark" on one mummy each time
and this battle is over, before you realize it!
Oh, normal attacks can poison you and they are pretty fast... Those are the
only two bad things about these guys.

Boss 10: * Troll (3x)
Difficulty: Pretty Hard
Party: Maxim 25, Tia 25, Selan 22
Locations: North Dungeon
Experience: 300
Cash: 1500 Gold
Preperations: -

Their fast and that's your worst enemy. They don't have so much HP, so that
makes one problem less. Their attacks can paralyse you. Since Guy is gone for
awhile you'll need to let Maxim do the attacks. Tia and Selan will have a hard
job keeping your health up. Especially since they are so fast and paralysing.

Boss 11: S Gades (2)
Difficulty: Hard
Party: Maxim 26, Guy 25, Dekar 23
Location: Ancient Tower
Experience: 10,000
Cash: 20,000
Preperations: Full HP... and as many "Hi-Potions" as you can carry.

The first time you met Gades there was no way to defeat him, but this time there
is, and you got to defeat him now. And that's no easy job, since he's far faster
than you! Plus with Tia and Selan gone you have to miss your healers. On the
other hand, Gades' moves are pretty destructive and with Tia and Selan gone
you are missing the weakest party members. His devistation will do about 120+
and that's pretty much. Letting Maxim do the healing could be a good idea since
Guy and Dekar are the powerhouses in this fight. But you can better not use
"Strong" since it's too weak from Maxim to make any sense (Tia and Selan, I
miss you)...
Another thing to watch out for is his "Destructo Wave". It does 50+ on
everybody. His normal attacks are around 90+
Put it short... This is gonna be a tough battle.

Boss 12: S Idura (1)
Difficulty: VERY EXTREEMLY HARD!
Party: Maxim 30, Selan 27
Location: North Lighthouse
Experience: 5000 (After 500 tries he didn't call for companions)
Cash: 1000 Gold
Preperations Spend one week of non-stop levelling up.

He's slow. That's a true advantage. With Guy and Dekar gone for awhile, you
miss your powerhouses, but you don't need them that much. At least you got
Selan back, and you'll need her healing.
His plasma blaster does medium damage, so that's no big point.
His problem is that he's a monster manipulator, so he can summon monsters.
Those summons are strong enough to kill Selan in ONE blow!!!!
If Selan dies, you can better reset the computer and start over, because you
can't keep it up in healing her, and in the end you're out of items after 100
hours of stress. This guy could be a good competition for the Tarantula.

Boss 13: * Lion
Dutch name: Leeuw
Difficulty: After Idura, everything is easy... Seriously Medium/Hard
Party: Maxim 32, Selan 30, Guy 27, Dekar 26
Location: Phantom Tree mountain
Experience: 10,000
Cash: 16,000 Gold
Preperations: Full health. And have the spell stronger!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Three bad things... Pretty strong, very very very fast and there are two of them!
Good things, they both have pretty little HP. With a little luck you can strike
one down in only 3 turns, which makes 6 turns for the whole battle. Selan should
do the healing. This is not a an extreemly hard fight, but still a tough one.
Don't waste your magic points on attacking magic!!!

Boss 13: S Indura (2)
Difficulty: Medium/Easy
Party: Maxim 33, Selan 31, Guy 29, Dekar 27
Location: North Tower
Experience: 10,100 (allies included)
Cash: 10,250 Gold
Preperations: Spell "Stronger"!!!!!!!

Indura is back. But now Guy and Dekar, the two powerhouses of the game are at
your side making the battle A LOT easier. Indura is pretty fast and he summons
stronger allies, but since Dekar and Guy help you there's nothing at all to worry
about. Selan should act as a healer with "Stronger".

Boss 14: S Indura (3)
Difficulty: Medium/Easy
Party: Maxim 34, Dekar 30, Selan 32, Guy 31
Location: Karlloon Shrine
Experience: 10,200 (Allies Included)
Cash: 10,900
Preperations: -

Bad things keep returning. Indura has been fired by his boss, and that's why he
wants to have his revenge. Good luck to you ;)
Okay... Selan is the weakling here. If you have bad luck she can even fall. For
the rest there's no big problem. Indura is very fast and strong. His allies can
safely be ignored in this battle. There should not be so much trouble beating
him.

Boss 15: * Rogue Flower
Difficulty: Easy!!
Party: Maxim 36, Selan 34, Guy 33
Location: Flower Mountain
Experience: 12,000
Cash: 20,000
Preperations: -

Strong attacks, but awfully slow, so you can heal easily against everything.
Fire attacks are extreemly powerfull here. I had the "Burn Sword" equipped on
Maxim, and when he has enough IP then... :-D
There's really nothing to worry about in this fight.

Boss 16: * Soldier
Difficulty: Easy first. Easier later
Party: Maxim 38, Selan 37, Guy 36, Lexis 32
Location: Dankirk North Cave
Experience: 10,000
Cash: 4,000
Preperations: -

The worst thing is that there are four of them. They are not superfast so that's
an advantage for you! There are also not very strong and have pretty little HP
So I wouldn't worry about them.

Boss 17: * Gargoyles
Difficulty: Not that hard
Party: Maxim 41, Selan 40, Guy 39, Lexis 35
Location: ?
Experience: 12,000
Cash: 12,000
Preperations: Spells "Champion" and "Rally" are STRONGLY recommended.

There are 4 of them, and that may be a small problem. But on the other hand the
only problem. If Selan has "Champion" much of your troubles are solved. Rally
is still recommended, just in case. If Guy has a "Spear" he can do a very nice
Dive Bomb if he has enough IP and that hurts them really bad.

Boss 18: Venge Ghost
Dutch Name: Pure Haat
Difficulty: Medium. Not superhard, but don't underestimate him.
Party: Maxim 44, Selan 43, Guy 43, Arty 41
Experience: 20,000
Cash: 50,000 Gold
Preperations: Have "Rally"

If you know what the Dutch name means you'll understand that this ain't a nice
guy. Let's start with his Doom Cry. Hurts all party members a little and has
a chance of instant kill. The damage ain't that big, but instant kill is!!!
If you're lucky he'll throw away turns with "Hatred".
His Thunder spells is very deadly, and I can suggest that you have "Champion"
ready to cure everybody. Good thing is that you don't have to be affraid for
your MP. There's a recoveryspot close and you can get away without entering any
other combat.

Boss 19: * White Dragon
Dutch name: Witte Draak
Difficulty: Medium
Party: Maxim 47, Selan 46, Guy 46, Arty 45
Experience: 12,000
Cash: 14,460
Preperations: -

They have pretty little HP, and thank the lord for that small detail. They are
awfully fast and have pretty strong moves. Not to mention that blizzard goddess
spell. Keep Champion ready. Casting it every round, may sound safer, even if
nobody is hurt, but beware, there are no recovery points around. If you use
"Escape" after this battle and you shouldn't worry.

Boss 20: Fire Dragon
Difficulty: Medium
Party: Maxim 48, Selan 48, Guy 47, Arty 46
Experience: 30,000
Cash: 40,000 Gold
Preperations: -

The damage he does is medium, but can be really hard to deal with since he's
faster than Arty. Having the spell "Champion" ready is strongly recommended.
The spell "Ice Valk" does very much damage to him, so you may want to try that.
Not surprising, well, is it?

Boss 21: Ghost Ship
Difficulty: VERY EXTREEEEMLY EASY!!
Party: Maxim 49, Selan 49, Guy 48, Arty 48
Experience: 37,978 (Allies included)
Cash: 59,620 (Allies included)
Preperations: Yawn

This is one of the easiest bosses in the game! For sure. He almost can't hurt
you. He can only summon allies. If he summons a strong ally, kill it, but if he summons
an easy ally just ignore it. In the end there's no more space for allies and you
can have an easy win!
Oh... At rare ocasions he uses "Doomcry" that may cause instant kill. But it's
so easy to deal with that!

Boss 22: Tank
Difficulty: E.A.S.Y.
Party: Maxim 53, Selan 52, Guy 51, Arty 51
Experience: 40,000
Cash: 1 Gold (This guy's gonna make me rich) :)
Preperations: Full Health.... Just a suggestion... :)

Sooooo easy... Half of the turns are trown away by him and he's even slower
than Guy. And THAT's slow!!! He may have strong moves, but it's soooo easy
to heal against it... This boss is one big laugh!

Boss 23: S Gades (3)
Difficulty: Huh? Er... No not that hard!
Location: Shuman Island Sealed Tower
Party: Maxim 54, Selan 53, Guy 53, Arty 52
Experience: 50,000
Cash: 50,000 Gold
Preperations: -

He's fast... and that's er.... that's it... Even somebody who never played
an RPG before must be able to beat him without even thinking!

Boss 24: S Amon (1)
Difficulty: Not super hard
Location: Sealed tower... What was the name island again?
Party: Maxim 55, Selan 54, Guy 54, Arty 53
Experience: 50,000
Cash: 50,000 Gold
Preperations: -

His moves are a little stronger than what Gades just showed, but still he's
not very hard. The only thing that makes him seriously harder is his
Multi-Confusion move. For the rest you must be able to defeat him easily.

Boss 25: S Gades (4)
Difficulty: WOOOOOAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Location: Doom Island
Party: Maxim 56, Selan 55, Guy 55, Arty 54
Experience: 50,000
Cash: 50,000 Gold
Preperations: -

The official strategy guide says "He's stronger than ever"... I'd like to
correct that "HE'S WEAKER THAN EVER"... Just kill the $*)#($*)#*%)(#*%

Boss 26: S Amon (2)
Difficulty: Heh... oh well....
Location: Doom Island
Party: Maxim 57, Selan 56, Guy 56, Arty 55
Experience: 50,000
Cash: 50,000 Gold
Preperations: Just survive the battle with Gades HAHAHAHAAHAHA!!!

Not hard... Not hard at all... Just beware of his confusion move... That's
the only thing that can make you loose this battle... So beware of it!!!!

Boss 27: S Erim
Difficulty: Not superhard. But don't underestimate her
Location: Doom Island
Party: Maxim 57, Selan 56, Guy 56, Arty 55
Experience: 50,000
Cash: 50,000
Preperations: -

Don't you recognize her? You'll discover soon enough. DON'T LOOK IN THE
OFFICIAL STRATEGY GUIDE! It spoils the story!!! Okay, to the point!
In spite of her looks she's VERY EXTREEEEMELY SLOW!! Even Guy's faster.
Her moves are strong but easily healed. Her only problem is that she can
cause instant kill... What did you expect from the mistress of Death.

Boss 28: S Daos ** FINAL BOSS **
Diffculty: Very easy!
Location: Doom Island
Party: Maxim 58, Selan 57, Guy 56, Arty 55
Experience: 50,000 (Like you still needed that) :)
Cash: 50,000 Gold
Preperations: -

Daos is a laugh as final boss, still he HAS a few strong moves. But
he's so awfully slow that you can easily heal trough it. You'll probably
need Selan or Arty to cast Champion over the whole party each round, but
that's all. Beware of his "Terror Wave" that can put you to sleep, and that's
the biggest danger.

Well, there's a short scenario after this boss which requires a few puzzles,
but this was the last battle... Hope you enjoyed the game :)
