Diving with Greg
Improving your underwater photos
1. Study the work of other photographers. Get an idea of what   kind of pictures that you like. Set incremental attainble goals towards producing what you like..

2. Practice you diving skills. Dive skills must become automatic, so that you can focus on picture taking.

3. Select a good dive buddy. Your diving styles must be complementary. Find someone willing to keep an eye on you, pose when asked, & find interesting subjects. (and carry your gear :-)

4. Move slowly & look carefully. You will see more & prevent stirring up visibilty. Speed spooks the critters and fish.

5. Be consistant. Use one lens, one strobe, and one kind of film at a time until you can get good shots regularly. Then move on to something different.

6.Bracket your most important photos. Shoot different f-stops or strobe settings, doing that will  improve the chance of getting a good exposure.

7.Try different angles, background, odd subjects, different format. Think before you shoot.  Use your imagination!

Good Luck!
