Doris Elizabeth Jones

Doris Jones is a student at the University of South Carolina where she studies political science and theatre.  She has performed in theatres, churches, community centers and prisons throughout the state of South Carolina.  Her work includes performances of poetry written by artists such as Paul Laurence Dunbar, James Weldon Johnson and Nikki Giovanni.  She is most proud of her role as Lady in Purple in Ntozake Shange's For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf.
