HE TOUCHED ME

Shackled by a heavy burden,
'Neath a load of guilt and shame,
Then the hand of Jesus touched me,
And now I am no longer the same.
He touched me, oh He touched me,
and oh the joy that floods my soul.
Something happened and now I know,
He touched me and made me whole.
Since I met this blessed Savior,
Since he cleansed and made me whole,
I will never cease to praise Him,
I'll shout it while eternity rolls.

for her Uncle James E. Reed in 1985 when he was dying of cancer. Mr. Reed is the Founder of THORNCROWN CHAPEL in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Thorncrown Chapel is a majestic glass chapel overlooking the Ozark hills and has been called the most beautiful and inspiring chapel in the world.
ONLY JESUS
Sometmes we have a cross to bear,
With only Jesus, our Saviour
to share;
We know others love us and care,
But only Jesus is always there...
We look up at the sky so big and blue,
And realize sweet Jesus has felt this way too...
He watched over the tiny sparrow when he flew;
Only Jesus cares so much more for me and you...
Only Jesus knows our fears and pain,
He carried a cross with suffering and shame,
So that our burdens and tears would not be in vain;
Only Jesus, only Jesus, He came....
When our faith is down and low,
Remember Calvary, only Jesus had to go;
A crown of thorns and nail-scarred hands
He had to show for you and I,
Only Jesus, Only Jesus knows.....
