All of the Brittany and Normandy ports are about 6 or 7 hours drive.
Calais and Boulogne are about 8-9 hours drive using the motorway.
If you will be driving to Trie from the North, at Angouleme follow signs to Libourne. Between Angouleme and Chalais there is a supermarket at Montmoreau. Also one in Chalais.
At Chalais follow the signs to Riberac and Aubeterre for 7km and then take the second turning on the right after te farm shop, sign posted Trie. When you arrive at Trie, follow the lane round between the buildings until you reach the blue cartwheel outside the gite where there is space to park cars.
