Her is Flash blaseing the trail for us once again. he was putting that rike over this dirty, dusty road. We had 25 or 30 miles to go. I don't think it was that much dirt road.

I finally caught Floyd. He stopped to pull off his jacket, I don't think I would have ever caught him had he not got hot. ha We had left William, Norman and BJ, quiet a ways back. I think they were chaseing Buffalos. I was afraid the buffalos would chase us. ha If they had, they could not have caught Floyd.
When we got out of here and back to Rapid City, I pulled into the first car wash I saw and got that red dirt off. I should have taken a close up of the trike. It was covered with red dirt, motor, wheels and the works. it was an experiance but not one I have a longing to repeat. ha

The following shots are early in the morning when we are getting ready to leave. We decided to leave the 12th. even though the bike rally ran until the 14th. Floyd wanted to have his bunch home by Monday, some of them had to be back at work. Now if they can keep up with him he will lead them back home. ha

I arrived home about 12:00 noon the 14th. of Aug. I was wore out. I had rode 3365 miles, slept cool in a tent for a wk. (something I was not use too)and rode some pretty rough roads. I faired pretty good sleeping in the tent if there had been less noise. The harleys were running for 3/4ths. of the night. Those loud pipes may save lives, but they keep mine awake. ha
I made new friends, met new people, saw sights and more motorcycles than I will ever see individually, in a life time. I also have memories, from this week in Sturgis. Overall I really enjoyed the trip to The Black Hills Rally, but at my age I don't think it is a trip for me each year. I don't say I won't go back. Who knows?? Maby my wife? ha since she stayed at home.
Floyd and Norman had a collision in Denver Colorado. The traffic stopped, Floyd stopped, but Norman didn't. He was pulling the camper with an automatic transmision, Floyd had bought in Rapid City, inside. When he hit Floyds trike it flipped Normans trike and camper, auto transmision fluid got all over everything. Floyd finally got them home about 6:45 the 15th. of Aug.

HURRAY! around the 3rd. of November I received conformation that I had made the Iron Butt Association, for my Saddle Sore ride of 1023 ride in 24 hrs. on the 7th. of Aug. Now for the 1500 in 36 hrs.
