What's Up... What's Happening...What's the Buzz.. What's Goin' Down?. |
Flash After two months together we had to endure a Name Change: We had this bright idea to call ourselves "Men Over Forte"... we put together a list of 600 possible names... (Some pretty Silly) and settled on "Men Over Forte".... HOWEVER, a wonderful group from California had registered the name "Men So-Forte"... and the names were too Close... So we looked at each other.. decided that the word "Men" was redundant and just concentrated on our ages... and we were all "Over Forte"..... |

The Red Lion Hotel - Columbia Center in Kennewick will once again host the annual LCS Columbia Basin Celebration Brunch. This year's theme, "Creating Harmony" will emphasize our agency's partnerships with clients, families, congregations and communities to promote health, justice and hope.
The afternoon will begin at 12:30 with a social hour and wine-tasting, followed by a bountiful brunch buffet, silent and live auctions, and program. This year we will be highlighting our Therapeutic Foster Care Program. Special entertainment will be provided by the "Men Over Forte" barbershop quartet. There is no charge to attend, but an opportunity will be given for pledges and gifts in support of the work of LCS in SE Washington and NE Oregon. |

Over Forte 2006 Novice Champs and 9th Overall... for Division 5 - Evergreen District of Barbershop Harmony Society.... Over Forte made it's debut on the Competition stage at the Division 5 Convention in Moses Lake, Washington held May 19 and 20th , 2006. We performed "I Don't Know Why I Love You Like I Do" and "(Goodbye my) Coney Island Baby/We All Fall" The contestants included 16 Quartets, 4 of which were Novice Quartets and all performed very well. Our congratulations to Hotwire for a well deserved 1st Place! We recieved a warm reception from the audience and had a good (albeit nervious) time. Even when Greg dropped his sight gag prop on the floor. During the remaining silence (which must have been about an hour) he retrieved the prop and the Quartet carried on as if we plannned that way. Thanks to Carl, John and Larry we continued without a hitch. Our thanks to Columbia Basin Basinaires for hosting the Quartet and Chorus Competition and Convention... Scores for Quartets.
