ETHNICITY
My mother's parents are both from Armenia. They both immigrated, separately, to the U.S at some point during the Armenian Genocide of 1915. My father's father was also Armenian, and my father's mother was part French Canadian and part Native American, although we are not sure from which tribe she decended. This makes me 3/4 Armenian and about 1/4 French Canadian/Native American mix.
TAUREAN TRAITS
My birthday is May 15, which makes me a Taurus. In true Taurean fashion, I am seen to be stubborn; but extremely loyal to those people who show me how much they care about me.
According to my astrology report, I am supposedly materialistic. This may be true to a point, but I don't need money to be happy. I just want to have enough to pay the bills with a little extra to enjoy my life. I need security in my life, and I hate to move around. I am not a fan of change, although I have been learning to accept it. I don't like negative change, but see positive change as a very good thing.
I am very sensual. I love to use all my senses. I love feeling the softness of a fleece blanket, or smell the candles while walking in the store, I love to taste a great piece of chocolate, and hear a babbling brook in the woods. I love watching my son playing outside or my dog rolling around in the snow. I love food, warm and cozy things, animals, and clothes!:D
I also appreciate being touched, whether a kiss, or a hug, from good friends or family. If you don't know me, though, I do feel uncomfortable in too close a personal space until I get to know you enough to trust you.
I love beauty, especially in music, nature, and art. I love to watch the birds at the feeder, or see the sunrise or set. I love nature, with the exception of bees and mosquitoes;),gnats and fleas. Those I could do without.
I am known to be stable and reliable and a good friend, but I expect my friends to be loyal back to me. If someone hurts me I take it very personally and get offended easily. But I do have a good sense of humor about things, for the most part.
Because I do not like change much, I can be seen as stubborn, but I tend to disagree with my astrology chart when it says that I am unimaginative.
CREATIVITY
I am extremely creative and enjoy all the arts, especially music and theater. I love to act, and sing. I played piano for ten years, but alas, I am no protogee;).
I am a writer, most of the time, although lately it's harder to find the time to write much more than my blog entries. I eventually want to have my poetry or stories published, and I aspire to write a novel one of these days.
PERSONALITY
I am known to love freely. I love my family and friends, but I choose who belongs in my heart and soul.
I am an extremely sensitive person. I cry easily, get angry easily, and laugh easily. I have been known to have fits of laughter for no reason...I just find something funny and can't stop laughing about it. Certain commercials can make me tear up. When I watch movies, I get very emotionally caught up in them, if they are good enough. I have always been this way. When I see someone crying, it makes me want to cry. When I see someone in pain, I hurt also. I have done research and it seems I may be some sort of empath. I don't know. I am still researching.
I like to have control of my life, and when things are out of my control I can get very agitated and stressed. It is one of the reasons I have never flown in a plane, nor feel I ever will. I have no control over what might happen. Call me crazy, but I'd rather drive five hrs LOL!
I went to a psychologist once and he told me I had a very complex personality! I took that as a compliment!:)
MY LIFE
Right now, my life revolves around my son and my work, and reconciling with my husband. I recently got my B.A. in English and am working as a teacher assistant for a special education class. I eventually want to get my Master's in English or Theater, and also a Teaching Certification for high school. I have one son, he turned 13 in March 2006. EEK! He is on that rocky road to adulthood, God help me and my husband! :D
My husband and I have been together for 14 years, We were separated for 7 months throughout 2005-beginning of 2006, but he is now home and we are working on our problems and getting our marriage back on track. He still has a lot to work on with his peronsal problems and we still have work to do on our marriage. We are goingt o marital counselling and have been for about a year. I hope we continue to grow stronger and grow closer as the months go by. I take it a day at a time. I don't like the rougher days because I get too emotional and find myself snapping more easily at him so I try to be positive and cheerful most of the time. It is hard, but I think I'm doing okay. I try to be strong every day.
BELIEFS
I believe in God, and possibly a Goddess. I believe in Jesus Christ, therefore I am Christian. I am more spiritual than religious, because I believe in anything until it is proven that it doesn't exist. If the proof of nonexistance isn't in front of me, it exists. Call me what you will, an idealist, a dreamer, I will admit it and be proud of it. I believe anything is possible. It is what makes life so exciting!
