Iota Iota Iota, named for the ancient Goddesses Inana, Ishtar, Isis, is the honor society for the academic discpline of Women's Studies.

Iota Iota Iota, aka Triota, strives to maintain feminist values central to Women's Studies:
ò Egalitarianism
ò Inclusiveness
ò Celebration of the diversity of women's experiences

Triotans are active in women's issues and offer a feeling of community to other women students. Chapter services may include:
ò Scholarships
ò Book Certificates
ò Mentoring
ò Women's History Month Events
ò Community Service
ò Femminist Career Panels

The East Stroudsburg University chapter of Triota was formed in 1995 under the direction of Dr. Mollie Whalen, Coordinator of Women's Studies.

In March of 2000, our chapter decided to assist the Alpha chapter in their efforts to gain recognition by the Association of National Honor Societies.

We have created our own induction ceremony that is quite profound. Our graduates have purple cords and a black and gold pin of the Triota symbol adorning their graduation robes.
