Triplesafety.com is a fraud!
Do NOT send them any money!
Do NOT do business with them!
Triplesafety.com claims to be affiliated with Escrow. This IS NOT TRUE.
Let me start by saying that I was too trusting and very foolish.
TripleSafety.com claimed to be affiliated with escrow.com. They took my money via western union to hold it while I received a computer that I purchased on ebay. After I sent the money, I did not receive a computer, and I never heard back from the seller or TripleSafety.com
MISTAKE 2: TripleSafety.com provides no phone number...how stupid was I? You tell me.
MISTAKE 3: I never cross-referenced TripleSafety. If I did, I would have found on escrow that escrow isn't affiliated with anyone! Escrow provides a description of fraudds, and TripleSafety.com fits the whole description. Darn it.
I called the seller, with contact information provided by ebay, and the seller claimed he didn't set up the post. He just logged in one day and found out he had apparently sold a computer. So, probably--unless he's lying--, the seller's account was hacked into to set up a fake post.
1. Cross reference who you give money to. Do you have enough (varified) info to get hold of them if they bail out? Do they get good reviews (from LEGIT reviewers)?
2. Don't pay with Western Union. Pay with something traceable...and possibley someone who will reimberce you if something goes wrong (ie- some credit cards) 3. Visual inspection...if you're dealing with a company, does the website LOOK professional?
4. Is the email provided a "free" email account...like hotmail?
Read these and protect yourself from scams!!!
Ebay's Policy regarding Solicitation of Off-site Sales
PLEASE BE CAREFUL, RESEARCH YOUR SELLER AND THEIR PAYMENT METHOD THOROUGHLY. If you have been victim to fraud you should: Contact your local enforcement and make a report. Report the fraud to all the companies through which the money passed (ie-ebay, western union, paypal, any banks...etc)
