| In the new game, the trees look amazingly real. Sonic team kinda used a trick to do this. They took a picture of a tree's leafy part and copied it onto a bunch of graphicly animated tree trunks. they are designed to always face the camera so that the leafy part looks fluffy. If you see it from top view however, you can tell that they a really flat. The shadow Affects are alot better than the first one and the shadow actually has the shape of the charachters and moves the same parts that the charachters move at the same time. The finger effect is also much better than the first. The fingers are actually seperate from each other. Major improvement , great game. You can even see big hidden in most levels. They did however get rid of the adventure fields which is kind of a bummer but it's still a great game. |

| In SA1 sonic looks kind of wierd compared to the SA2 version in which his eyes stretch out further upward toward his forehead. In the SA1 however he loos like his forehead is threatening to eat up his face. of course you don't notice this until you get the second one which at first will seem wierd to you. The shading affects on the charachters in this game is pretty nice, however the actual shadow is pretty cheap. They just made a black circle that followed the charachters around. They also kind of cheated on the fingers in which they just made some black lines on the gloves and thought itwould give the players the idea that they looked real. With all that in mind I'de rate it four stars. |

| Sonic R wasn't exactly the sonic game with the best story line ever. Actually, you'lle probably find yourself wondering how the heck was eggman in a race with sonic. Which, by the way you, can't control like he's a sonic, charachter but more like he's a car. The graphics weren't to good, but you could still tell who the characters were (except for amy which looked like a stuffed puppet). Any way the game's pretty cool despite the fact that you could beat it in about half an hour. The bittiage and graphics weren't to good either but thegame keeps you entertained with the baby like characters running and driving and flying and gliding and hovering at around 200 mph. Your reward for beating the game and getting all the coins is some secret chrachters, and there isn't any reward for beating it with the secret charachters. |
