Being Transgendered - A personal View
I have a feeling that this bit of the site is going to be a work in progress so come back and visit for updates once in a while! Its my place for getting a bit serious about what makes us TV's what we are and I'd like to hope its somewhere that other girls who have the same needs can come to and get some insights from some old tart who's been around for a while!

Hope against hope, I'd also like it to be something that helps non-transgendered people understand a little about what makes transvestites like me tick and to realise that we are real people and not just nasty perverts.

Whoever you are though, if you feel you can add to what I say, disagree with it or whatever, please
Email me but be prepared to be constructive!
Cross-dresser, Transvestite, Shemale, Tgirl, Transexual - WHAT?
Am I a TV, TS, gay, straight or something else and what does this all mean anyway?
Anyone browsing through the Web has got every right to be confused, but pity the poor sucker who likes to dress in womens clothing particularly! Does this mean I'm a Pervert? HELP!
The only thing that all TVs have in common is the fact that they are all different! Each one of us is absolutely and wonderfully unique with experiences (both good and bad) that have meaning to ourselves alone.  For some reason, human beings have this desire to fit each other into little slots - '
She is a cross-dresser, but she on the other hand is a transexual'. Sorry but to me that doesnt fly. I've read other girls' stories, I've corresponded with them, and have had the privilege of meeting just a tiny few. So what do all of us have in common, we trannies, tgirls, and shemales? \I think that all of us at some level have some feeling for the  feminine and thats really what I'll be talking about most here. One other thing we have in common though , and again this is a purely personal perspective, is that we are most of us (though sadly not quite all) sweeter, gentler, and kinder than the average male. I have touched the lives of so many lovely people over the last couple of years, so many that I couldnt even begin to count them. I can count the number of cast iron bitches though - about 3!
So what is it about the Feminine that attracts us. The psychologist, Carl Jung, believed that both men and women carry within them the seeds of the opposite gender. No man is entirely male and no woman entirely female. That part of us that sits outside the gender that we were born with Jung called the Anima or Animus. Jung felt that in order to be well balanced individuals  all men have to come to terms woth our Anima  Some men have a strong female side or in Jung's terms the Anima is strong.  This has absolutely nothing to do with sexual orientation by the way. A woman with a strong Animus is not destined to be a lesbian, but she may well exhibit certain masculine mental qualities such as assertiveness. I suspect that women are getting rather better in the modern world at coming to terms with and  accepting their Animus than men do their femininity!  However, I strongly suspect that those of us who are transgendered actively embrace our Anima, the Feminine that lies within us.  One thing that does interest me by the way is that we tend to look for what is actually a male concept of femininity, the external trappings of what we see as feminine characteristics. Most transgendered males are unlikely to be wearing practical cotton panties from British Home Stores! We'll look for slinky black satin or pretty white lace!
I may be guilty of oversimplification by the way.  Seeking out the superficially feminine is unlikely to appeal to male to female transexuals, people who strongly believe that they were born in the wrong body and wrong gender and would (and often do) go to extraordinary lengths to become female. A true Transexual has no particular feeling for the external signs of femininity other than in closing the gap between themselves and the woman they believe themselves to be. I have a huge respect for the bravery of transexuals by the way. Believe me, it aint easy being a TV, and being a transexual is a hard old road to follow......
Because I'm not transexuak, I'll leave this topic alone. Its not one I'm qualified to talk about.
