Trishtale Series Epilogue

Over the next couple of months, Jay and Trisha dated when they could but his law school courseload and Trisha's research and course work were getting in the way. In late November, Trisha got a call from Sandra Lemmings at Wachovia who remembered her excellent presentation on encryption technology and asked her to come to work for her in Charlotte. She was told she would be able to finish her graduate work in May from there, only having to come to Columbia for a couple of weeks. After that she would be a full time Systems Consultant making an excellent salary. She struggled over how to let Jay know about this development and she finally did after attending the Law School Christmas party with him in December. Between Christmas and New Years, Trisha moved to Rock Hill, South Carolina, a suburb of Charlotte, to be once again, Shelley's roommate.

Over the winter, Jay and Trisha grew somewhat apart, despite their distance apart being only about 85 miles. Erin began to make her move on Jay and he did go out with her once but he regretted his lapse of good judgment. Similarly, Trisha received a surprise visit from Paul who had worked with her at G-III in New York. He had just moved to Charlotte to set up a local modeling agency. Paul had wanted to move to a town where he could be in the fashion industry and not have to pretend not to be 'straight.' He asked Trisha out on a date and she agreed to do so at first just because he was a friend, but she quickly realized that Paul was interested in a more romantic evening. Over Spring Break, Jay and Trisha reunited for a weekend in Atlanta to see if they could recapture the magic. Jay realized that Trisha was the lady of his dreams and Trisha realized that she would not love another besides Jay. After a romantic dinner at the top of the Peachtree Center, they went out to the observation deck where Jay presented Trisha with a beautiful engagement ring. Or course she said 'Yes.'

[I will leave the rest of the story of their lives be up to your imagination. Actually, there will be one more surprise in the future that includes Jay and Trisha but the story will not be just about them.]

NOTE from Kinja: It has been a pleasure creating the Trishtale series and seeing her character evolve and her friends similarly develop and evolve. The story has ben about much more than shoes and the loss thereof. Trisha and her friends are more typical of the positive young role models that are out there but you rarely hear about. I have enjoyed getting to 'meet' many of you via email becasue of these stories. As always, drop me an email whenever you want.
