What do Scrapbooking AND Homeschooling have in common?
Here are just a few ideas as to how the two can work together...
1. Research into family history
2. Writing: Using various forms of writing such as reporting, creative, interviews, synopsis, etc create write-ups of family events while you are working on the photos--have them write a story about them-- if they don't have the correct information have they tell what they saw in the picture
3. Timeline practice placing photos in chronological order
4. Writing up a family tree paper
5. Learn how to preserve, copy and restore photos
6. Practical art application via colored papers, stickers, layout, etc.
7. Computer work-learning how to scan, copy and using various fonts, clipart, etc
8. Writing to family members (letters or postcards) asking for more
information, or telling them about the project. Don't forget practice addressing envelopes!
9. Numbering the photos and making a list of the numbered photos
10. This also works for copy work
11. Categorizing items while setting up pages and the items that will go together like photos, papers, letters, and stickers
12. Create a title page or cover
13. Map work of locations being shown or discussed
14. Copywork using family recipes
15. Handwriting or calligraphy while journaling
16. History research of other events during those times covered in photos.
17. Name studies of various family members
18. Scripture research that fit events depicted
19. Spelling practice
20. Math practice keeping track of amount of money, time, etc spent on project
21. Science of archival qulaity materials and usage in museums. Topics to cover might include buffered, ligned, acid levels.
22. Foreign language (writing or translating phrases, scripts, language itself) as applicable to events or family history
This is just what I could come up with in a few minutes...if you have other ideas please email them to me to be included here!

24. Music...write out lyrics or find sheet music that is applicable!
25. Memorize poetry, scripture, songs that you are including.
26. Create a album about your homeschooling day or year! Great way to introduce the concept (either homeschooling OR scrapbooking! *L*) to family members
27. Calendar practice: there are calander pages available but you could also do a "through the year" themed album
