Finally got sick of oil persisting everywhere over my workshop floor. Took off the sump plate, undid the oil filter retaining through-bolt, applied enough Master-gasket to sink a battleship, and re-assembled afore-mentioned sump plate.
And that has taken care of the Pissing Oil Problem! Only a very few drops find their way onto the floor now.
