	The UAB Triumph and Praise Ensemble was formed in March of 2005 as a group a part of the UAB Chapter of the NAACP to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through song on the campus of UAB and the city with Tiffany Benton serving as Director.  At this meeting were: Michael S. Fitts, Jamie Williams, Vernica Farrey and Brian McCoy. The group was named in an NAACP meeting by group discussion.  The first event that the group ministered at was Veronica Farrey's memorial service in March of 2005.  The group has continued to serve the community as praise and worship leaders and members of the NAACP!
