Come join the group on Thursday mornings to walk along the nice trails to see the creeks and beautiful parks in the Dublin area.  Enjoy nature while getting some exercise in the wonderful outdoors.  This is also a great opportunity to meet new friends.

 

Ist Thursday              Alamo Creek Trail and Alamo Creek Park

Meet at Alamo Creek Park on Willow Creek Drive just off of Dougherty Rd.  Heading north on Dougherty, take a left at the first light past Amador Valley Blvd. onto Willow Creek Drive.  The park is on your left.

 

2nd Thursday             Tassajara Creek Trail and Emerald Glen Park

Meet at the Emerald Glen Park parking area near the rest rooms on the north side of the park, adjacent to Gleason Dr.  Gleason Dr. can be reached by driving north on Hacienda Dr. or Tassajara Rd. from Dublin Blvd.  Take a right off of Hacienda or a left off of Tassajara. 

           

3rd Thursday              Iron Horse Trail from Village Green Park in San Ramon

Meet at Village Green Park, which is located on the corner of Village Parkway and Triana Way.  Turn east on Triana Way and into the park.  This park is located just behind Longs Drugs off Alcosta Blvd. in San Ramon. 

 

4th Thursday              Martin Canyon Creek Trail

Meet at the small park at the corner of Silvergate Dr. and Bay Laurel St. Silvergate Dr. can be accessed from the intersection with either San Ramon Rd. or Dublin Blvd.   Park along the street on Silvergate.  Trail is unpaved with uneven surfaces and a few small hills.

 

5th Thursday              Pleasanton Sports Park, Pleasanton

Meet at the sports park located just off Hopyard Rd. on Sports Park Drive.  Proceed south on Hopyard just past W. Las Positas to Parkside Dr. and turn left.  Drive a short distance down to Sports Park Dr. (the second parking lot on your right) and park near the restrooms.

                       

In general, the walks will be about 2 to 3 miles on mostly paved trails of level to easy grades at a leisurely pace.  Comfortable walking shoes or boots are recommended.  Bring adequate water to drink and wear appropriate clothing and sunscreen as needed.

 

The walks will begin at 9:00 AM and conclude around 10:00 – 10:30 AM.  Bring a friend and carpool to the meeting place if you can.  All walks are free.
