THE WASH SOUNDTRACK

Ranking 8.75/10

The Wash Soundtrack is the solution to your hip hop woes. This Dr. Dre produced soundtrack demonstrates not only that Dr. Dre is an amazing artist, but that he can put out a bangin' soundtrack too.

With contributions from three of my favorite producers, Soopafly, Mel-Man and Dr. Dre, The Wash Soundtrack delivers a nearly unprecedented lineup of impressive tracks. With a slew of featured artists including Snoop Dogg, D12, Xzibit, Busta Rhymes, Bilal, Bubba Sparxxx, and Shaunta, most of the album's tracks impressed me. However, there were three amazing hit-status tracks; Toi's 'Everytime' steals the Herbie Hancock sample that Slum Village used on their 'Get This Money' and takes it to an all-new level. Toi's R&B vocals mixed with Soopafly's production makes for a blazing track. The surprise of the album is Joe Beast's 'No'. 'No' takes Puff Daddy & Black Rob's concept for their hit single 'Whoa' and elevates it with Mel-Man's dope production and glistening piano break. The first single, 'Bad Intentions' is yet another amazing Dr. Dre track. It's deep bass beat, and flute when coupled with Knoc-Turn'al's chorus will keep your head boppin'. Other highlight's include the Hi-Tek produced, 'Good Lovin' with Shaunta on vocals. Daks' 'Riding High' with its catchy chorus. The Knoc-turn'al's 'Str8 West Coast' produced by Dre.

The Wash Soundtrack is a diverse and rich compilation of some of today's hottest rap and R&B. Dr. Dre has furthered stake his claim on the hip hop game with the release of this soundtrack. It's a soundtrack that you won't want to miss out on. In fact, it'll be a long time before this wash is hung out to dry.
