A Tribute in Honor of:
Ian Andrew Loken
IAN

I saw a little boy.
He was pretty as could be.
He looked like he was napping,
As busy boys would do.
But appearance was misleading.
For his life was spent.
He had left this earth.

Then I saw something most glorious,
This boy was in a place most beautiful,
A meadow glorious with flowers abloom,
He was running and leaping and praising God.
Many children were running along with him.
Saying can I be your friend?
Yes he said, but I must praise my Lord as I couldn't before.
Then beautiful song broke forth, from the seed of classical style,
Long waiting to come forth, no longer hindered.
It was the most beautiful as the others joined him in praise.
For he had little sin stain from his past.
His smile was radiant and infectious.
Then a light was seen and the form of Jesus was there.
Jesus held out his arms and said come.
The little boy shrieked with joy and ran with all his might with his new legs.
Then he leaped with all his might to land in Jesus arms.
This was only the beginning  -

COME WITH ME

The Lord saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be,
So he put his arms around you
And whispered, "Come with me."

With tearful eyes we watched you suffer
And saw you fade away,
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,
A beautiful smile at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove
He only takes the best.

It's lonesome here without you
We miss you so each day,
Our lives aren't the sam
Since you went away.

When days are sad and lonely,
And everything goes wrong,
We seem to hear you whisper,
"Cheer up and carry on."

Each time we see your picture,
You seem to smile and say,
"Don't cry, I'm in God's keeping,
We'll meet again someday."

Ian was loved by everyone who knew him, I am proud to say.  He was a fighter from day one, just like me; he proved time and time again that he was incredibly strong despite the frailities of his body.
He will FOREVER be with us.
The poems are this page are incredibly special to me.
IAN was written by Ron Lunde for us after Ian's funeral.
COME WITH ME by Rhonda Braswell was/is printed on the back of Ian's funeral pamphlet; her words provide comfort, especially now.
Thank you for coming to Ian's site; I will be adding much more as time allows. Please let me know you were here.
Thanks.
