Trojan Horse 4-H Club
The Trojan Horse Club is the oldest horse club in the county and was founded in 1956.
Our enrollment deadline for each year is April 15. However, we accept new members at any time throughout the year. A member must attend at least 75% of the regular meetings, unless they have a legitimate excuse. We meet monthly for about 11 months out of the year. Members are not required to exhibit at the Miami County Fair to complete their 4-H club year, but they are encouraged to do so. Members can also attempt to qualify to show at the Ohio State Fair. The qualifying show for Miami County members is held in July at the fairgrounds. Members may also try to qualify at Darke County's show.
Our club has several work rides throughout the year. Members bring their horses and someone is usually available to coach members and their horses. The time and location of these work rides is announced at our meetings and in the meeting minutes.
Our club holds two horse shows. Members are encouraged to help out at the shows and get sponsers so we can earn money for our club activities.
