The beginning

This Japanese company was born in 1889 and founded by Fusajiro Yamauchi, creating at that time card games. Its first creation was the Game & Watch, created on 1980, and it's the grandfather of all the LCD Hand Held consoles. In 1983, Nintendo releases the 8-bits Nintendo Entertainment System console (abbreviated, NES). In Japan was Family Computer the name of that 8-bits console (abbreviated, Famicom).

Basing on his "Release High Quality Games" philosophy, they imposed a restrictive releasing control that they mark a contents level, and thanks to this strategy, they reached vertiginous numbers like over 60 million consoles sold and 500 million games sold!
