Golden Brown Skillet Hash

1 Tablespoon oil, preferably canola
1 lb gd beef or gd turkey
1 pkg (16 oz) frozen hash browns
1 onion, chopped - about 1 cup
1 green pepper, chopped
2 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon. garlic powder
2 teaspoon salt - some pepper

In large skillet heat oil over medium-high heat. Add beef; cook, stirring occasionly, until browned, 4-5 minutes. Stir in potatoes, onion, chopped pepper and seasonings. Cover; reduce heat to medium. Simmer, stirring occasionally until potatoes are browned and tender, about 15 minutes.

Makes 4 servings. Per serving: 464 cals.; 24 g. protein; 27 g. fat; 85 mg.chol; 31 g.carbs; 667 mg.sodium; 4 gr fiber; 4 gr sugar.

Brunch Bake

Cut 1 donut shape from each of 12 slices of bread. Reserve. Tear the rest of the slices and layer in a 9 x 13 greased pan. Cover with:
1 pkg (10oz) cooked broccoi, drained
12 oz cheddar cheese, grated
2 cups of diced ham (Or you can use most any kind of meat: fryed bacon, cut up weiners, etc)

Combine and pour over the top:
10 eggs 2 cups milk
1 tsp salt 3 Tbs chopped onion
2 tsp dry mustard

Arrange donut bread shapes on top in a pattern and cover. Can be refrigerated overnight. Bake for 1 hour at 350 until puffed and golden brown. You may dunk the donut shapes in the egg mixture before placing on top - they brown better.

Potato Casserole

1 2# bag frozen hash browns
1 cup diced onions 1 cup grated chedder cheese
2-4 oz cream cheese
1 stick margarine or butter
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 tablespoon salt
1 cup of CRUSHED potato chips, wheaties, or corn flakes

Mix all except for potatoes and the last item (potatos chips or wheaties/cornflakes). Then, add potatoes and mix well. Put in 9x13 greased pan. Top with 1 cup the potato chips, or wheaties/corn flakes and cover with foil. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.

Sugar Cookies

Mix together:
1 cup margarine
1 cup white sugar
1 cup powdered sugar

Add:
1 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
2 eggs

Add:
4 cups + 2 tablespoons flour


Chill for a couple of hours and roll into SMALL balls. Roll into sugar and press with a sugared glass. Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes until lightly brown.

Hershey's Syrup Brownies

Beat until creamy:
1 stick margarine
1 cup sugar
3 or 4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Once creamy, add: 1 can hershey's syrup
1 cup + 1 tablespoon flour 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Place in a greased and floured cake pan. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Frost after brownies have cooled.
