There have been major modifications to the Junior Badges and Signs for the new 2001-2002 Scouting year.  They are not a “bad” thing ...   just different.  Several new badges, several discontinued badges, several name changes, several design changes, and lots that stayed with the same name.  The requirements for all badges is now SIX steps.   You can select any six you desire from the list, but those steps may not be the same as they were in the old badge book.  The Signs and Junior Aide appear to be much simpler to complete.  There are more “activities” involved, but less required “badges”.
