Parents' Promise Dues Uniforms Meetings Refreshments Volunteering Financial Assistance
Parents' Promise:

On my honor I will try to share my daughter's
new Girl Scout interests and show appreciation
for her efforts to live up to the Promise and Law;
to give her opportunities to practice her new skills at home;
to attend the troop events to which I am invited;
and support Girl Scouting by working for and
contributing to activities and funds that make
Girl Scouting possible in our community.

Dues:

Troop dues are $35.00 per Brownie this year.  Annual dues help pay for badges, craft supplies, film and developing costs.  We request payment at the beginning of the year, but if you need to break it into two payments, or desire financial assistance, please let us know.

Uniforms

Junior Girl Scout uniforms are recommended for most troop activities, but are not required.  Girls are encouraged to wear their Junior uniforms to school on our meeting days, and on field trips.  Uniforms are required for high visibility functions such as the flag ceremony for PTO meetings, or a parade.

Uniforms are available at a San Jacinto Girl Scout Council store, Wal-mart or The Woodlands), or Eraser Dust Teacher Supply at 4950 FM 1960W (281-537-2832).  The main Girl Scout Store is on Highway 59 near the Summit and the Imperial Valley store is located near Greenspoint Mall  (Call ahead to find out what hours they are open).  You may also buy uniforms and accessories online at http://www.girlscouts.org

Each Junior should have the Junior vest to display her earned badges and pins.  If you would like assistance in obtaining a uniform, please contact Marcy.

Meetings:

This year we will be meeting on Wednesdays at Marcy's house.  Meetings will be from 4:00PM until 5:00PM.  For meeting schedule, click here.

Girls with excellent meeting attendance will be recognized at our Spring Court of Awards Ceremony.

Refreshments:

All girls will be asked to take turns providing meeting refreshments for our regular meetings.  Please bring a HEALTHY (non-sugary) snack and drink.   Please avoid drinks with bright colors which stain clothing and carpets.  Be sure to include cups and plates (if needed) and napkins.

If your daughter will not be attending our meeting when it is her turn to bring a snack, please bring the snack to the meeting anyway, trade turns with someone else on the list, or call us ahead of time so we can arrange a substitute.  Snack no-shows are a BUMMER!

Visit the Meetings page for the refreshment schedule.

If you would like to celebrate your daughter's birthday with the troop in addition to the regular snack schedule, that would be great!  Just call us ahead of time so we can plan accordingly.

Our Refreshment Coordinator is Lana (281-537-6116).

Volunteering:

In order for your daughter to have the best Girl Scout experience possible, it is essential that we have parental participation.  We all have many activities competing for our attention and the troop leaders can't be expected to do all the troop responsibilities alone.

But together we can!

There are many ways to help our troop.  Please look over the opportunities below and ask Marcy what is involved.  Please find a way you can help, so all the girls will have an outstanding scouting experience.

Financial Assistance:

It is our hope that every girl will participate in many troop activities as she desires.  If you find any scouting expense  is a financial burden for your family, please notify your leader (Marcy).  Financial assistance is usually available from the troop, service unit or council levels.
