Job Description: |
|
|
|
|
|
The Den Chief works with the Cub Scouts, Webelos Scouts, and den leaders in the Cub Scout Pack. |
|
|
 |
|
|
|
|
|
|
Reports to: The Den Leader in the pack and the Scoutmaster and the Assistant Scoutmaster for the New Scout Patrol in the troop. |
|
|
|
|
Den Chief duties: |
|
|
1. Serve as the activities assistant at den meetings. 2. Meet regularly with the Den Leader to review the den and pack meeting plans. 3. If serving as a Webelos Den Chief, prepare boys to join Boy Scouting. 4. Project a positive image of Boy Scouting. 5. Know the purposes of Cub Scouting. 6. Encourage Cub Scouts to join a Boy Scout troop upon graduation. 7. Help out at weekly den meetings and monthly pack meetings. 8. Attends at least 75% of the den meetings/events during his service period. 9. Be a friend to the boys in the den. 10. Set a good example. 11. Wear the Scout uniform correctly. 12. Live by Scout Oath and Law. 13. Show scout Spirit. |

1. Serves for 12 months. 2. Must Complete BSA Den Chief Training. 2. 1st Class rank and Scoutmaster approval. 3 Must be active in the troop. |
