Job Description: |

|
The Troop Guide works actively with new scouts and new scout leaders introducing them to troop operations and helping them to feel comfortable in the troop and positions. |

Reports to: Senior Patrol Leader |

|
|
|
|
Troop Guide Duities: |
|
|
|
|
 |
|
1. Help new Scouts earn advancement requirements through First Class. 2. Advise patrol leader on his duties and responsibilities at Patrol Leaders' Council (PLC) meetings. 3. Attend Patrol Leaders Council (PLC) meetings with the New Scout Patrol Leader. 4. Prevent harassment of new Scouts by older Scouts. 5. Help Assistant Scoutmaster train new Scouts by older Scouts. 6. Guide new Scouts through early troop experiences to help them become comfortable in the troop and the outdoors. 7. Teach basic Scout skills. 8. Have good attendance at Troop meeting. 9. Attends at least 75% of each event type during his service period. 10. Set a good example. 11. Enthusiastically wear the Scout Uniform correctly. 12. Live by the Scout Oath and Law. 13. Show Scout spirit. |

Requirements: |

1. Serves for 6 months. 2. Must be at least Star rank or have Scoutmaster approval. 3. Must be active in the troop. |
