Alyssa's Investiture Ceremony (A mirror on the floor represents a Pond)
Leader to Girl: " Alyssa, do you want to be a Brownie Girl Scout?
Come to the pond with me." The leader turns Alyssa around and says, "Twist me
and turn me and show me the elf, I looked in the water and saw...............
(Girl says MYSELF.)" |
The only way to become a Brownie Girl Scout is to say the Girl Scout
Promise. Alyssa said the promise, then was pined with the Brownie Girl Scout Pin which is
placed upside down and is turned when the Brownie does a good deed.
Other troop girls did a Rededication Ceremony this same evening. |
On my honor, I will try
To serve God* and my country,
To help people at all times,
And to live by the Girl Scout Law
(*Girls may substitute another word for God.)

Our Leader helper is passing out Family Partnership envelopes at our troop meeting
while the Leader talks about what Family Partnership is. Family Partnership is a
collection of donations to help pay for things like: |
|
....Uniforms for girls who can't afford it, helps pay for camp for some
girls, it pays for many of the booklets our leaders use such as Program Bulletins and
Leader Resource Guides and much more. |
