Camping Gear Checklist Instructions |
The checklist should be used before every camping trip to make sure that Scouts and Adult Leaders have the equipment they need. Directions for use: 1. Use a new checklist for each trip. 2. Everyone should bring the required equipment. 3. Determine the season of the trip and type of camping trip Troop 392 is taking and mark out the areas that do not apply. In the Spring and Fall, you may have to bring items from both the Summer and Winter lists. 4. With the areas that are remaining, place all needed equipment into a pile on the floor. Place a check mark on the list as you add each piece of equipment to the pile. 5. Start packing the equipment into a duffel bag or backpack and mark out the piece of equipment from the list as a way of double-checking you have the equipment. 6. When you are through packing the equipment into the duffel bag or backpack, you should not have any items that are not marked out. If so, check to make sure these items are packed. 7. Under the Optional or Special Items area, add special equipment or individual items that your Scoutmasters say you need to bring. For example, for long term summer camp, Scoutmasters may recommend items like battery operated lanterns and fans for your tent. |
